The only thing infantry do better on is fellow infantry, and tanks top them there too. If you're looking for a quick general because you don't want to save for Guderian, then get Vatutin. But infantry, are completely end game. I have already bought Vasilevsky. And checked, for example, for Thailand 1939. You start with a factory 1 city and have only armored car. But if you buy commando, put there Vasilevsky - that will be enough to capture close cities and get enough income to proceed with paratroopers. And I even don't mention campaigns, where in many situations you don't have time to buy tanks, but have to fight with what you have in order to get 3 stars. And in challenges you have even less possibility to buy tanks. |

Max Otto von Stierlitz, I wouldnt advise to go for 1943 Thailand, yes Japain is going to kinda protect you put the game has been set fort the axis to loose ( Japan losing is 3:2 and Germanys is 3:5. but 1943 thailand has a smaller army has a strong britian on the left but the good point is no france

I don't even say that Vasilevsky is better more often that Guderian. But in some situations he's useful. And BTW, your forecast was not correct from the very beginning. I have already told you, that I was unable to clear Nato 4 Sea road before buying Vasilevsky (so that means I have cleared at leas 3 Nato campaigns even without him). And anyway I have just cleared this Nato 4 with 3 stars (whithout Vasilevsky I haven't got even 1 star). Sure, not only Vasilevsky was the reason. I have improved my strategy too, but he helped me to save some 2-3 turns, because I had commando from the very beginning and sent him to attack enemy. In fact, in this campaign Guderian would perform better than Vasilevsky. But only one tank general. Guderian and Vasilevsky would do better than Guderian and Patton, because you have 1 super tank and 1 commando at the start. I don't say that Vasilevsky is better than Guderian, but if I can proceed without him for now and anyway I will need him later, than why I shouldn't buy him before Guderian to get Terracota army, but Guderian will be 4th in my crew. |

For now I have cleared WTO, unfortunately I can't proceed further: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/3988/commander-last-hope?page=1&scrollTo=92740Sure, with aliens I will have serious problems, but at least to get 3 bronze stars such crew is ok, and now I will collect medal for Guderian while getiing silver and golden stars. Btw, WTO 3 and 4 was the same: you get 1 commando and 1 super tank, so infantry and tank is better than 2 tank generals. In 5 and 6 there were 2 super tanks in the beginning. But anyway, you can use 2 arty, 2 tank, and one infantry general. |
