Really? Paint.net is so awkwardly designed for extensive work on pictures. It won't even draw straight lines easily by click on the picture in the spot you want a line to start, then after the click, press down shift, move over and click on the other spot for the end of the line.
Ta-da! A perfectly straight line in GIMP. And it's not just GIMP, it's the standard procedure in almost any serious photo/picture/art editor program.
Paint.net screws that one up. There's more I dont like about it. Not even a good brightness/constrast function to manipulate the picture's spectrum (my main way of cleaning up spotty areas to prepare for a bucket color fill-in for a province).
(I sense a derailing coming... I better shut up now about GIMP lol)

I would like to see this project moving... get a-movin'! I'm sure some people have been bored out of their skulls now. I'm definitely busy so I'm not bored, lucky me.

Whats wrong with this one? Also Could you crop up most of the brown bits as it looks a bit ugly and apart from what Desophaeus said , just do these and the map should be perfect!

NetherFreek, perhaps add some neutral regions to west to aid travel? Also, Maine didn't exist. It was part of Massachusetts.

NetherFreek, perhaps add some neutral regions to west to aid travel? Also, Maine didn't exist. It was part of Massachusetts. Some neutral space suggestions like... Cumberland Gap (modern-day Tennessee) near Virginia. Ohio River Valley near Pennsylvania. Maybe Seminole Swamps for Florida, and something for Alabama-ish... like South Blue Ridges. New York should border an indian territory the Adirondacks. NC, SC, should lose a bit of ground because they didn't really settle in the western portions until much later. NY and PA are drawn that way, so the Carolinas should be like that too. Maine should stay in the map, it's still under Massachusetts, but doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I just mean that is should be part of Mas. in the game, and perhaps labelled on map to represent that fact. Some indian territories could be added in the west as well, being neutral but siding on whoever provokes it first or through events.

Yeah, that was the idea of what I was bringing up names for. Agreed!
I think Maine, NH, and Massachusetts seems to be bundled for one player. Those 3 are in the same color. NY is alone, maybe it should have Vermont?
