(or at least needs to repair it) 30,000 Angolan Portuguese troops march on Lower Congo. The Capuchins call on the Congolese to support the rightful Christian rule in these lands. Rolling for Native support (like 5k per roll) Uhh.... 50,000 Portuguese troops and Mercenaries attack 90,000 Ottomans in the Southern Congo. Minimum of 8. 15,000 Portuguese die, along with 5,000 Ottomans. It is impossible to continue the offensive, so rolling for more troops. Portuguese troops in Angola-Congo border are 60,000 strong. ORDER OF BATTLE 1848 Portugal 60,000 in Angola 90,000 in Portugal 30,000 in Brazil 4 Gunboats (50% ironclad) in Angola, 2 in Portugal. 2 Ironclads in Angola, 2 in Portugal. Portugal is divided into Lisboa, Porto, and East. Production of 4 gunboats is declared, and 1 Ironclad. Effective 1849. ······ |

Desophaeus, the 1848 revolutions really only affected European nations, not the Western Hemisphere. And even then, Russia and the Ottomans were very minorly affected.

Jan - Forms a Peaceful Alliance of Countries that will swing toward protecting peace
Feb - Economic benefits come from trade.
March - Honduras revises alliance to form a League of American Nations
April - Fernandez is urged to keep peace by lowering the number of troops to 100,000
May - Fernandez is removed from Military Director. The position is now taken by a peace keeping leader named María Jose de la familia de Pineda
June - Jose demilitarizes borders and lowers soldier number to 50,000
July - Government allots more money to civil construction
August - Schools reopen as purely educational.
September - Nothing
October - Honduran economy is benefiting sufficiently. Upper class percentage increases to .1 % of the population.
November - Unemployment decreases to 30% of the pop
December - Nothing

How does downsizing your army lead (I know you probably don't intend it directly) to a decrease in unemployment? Your unemployment should go up because thousands of soldiers have to find new jobs.

That was way later in the year after I mentioned the construction projects that my nation has begun... Anything involving construction decreases unemployment. Also the sufficient trade amounts this year came right before I mentioned that, so that would influence more citizens to become farmers and merchants and the such. |

Frederick the Great, I admit that I didn't give much information to back up the decrease in unemployment, but consider the following points: -It had been months since the decrease in military, so they can follow jobs -I had mentioned previously that most of the soldiers weren't serving on the field, so most had multiple jobs due to low wages. -30% unemployment is still extremely high! -I also just mentioned the population of wealth had increased which usually you can connect to mean more corporation which means more jobs. Anyways, I've thought about everything I've said.

I humbly brag that Peru-Bolivia is immune to the Revolutions of 1848, as it just had its Civil war, and the power is now in the military. I don't know what I will do when I want the country to lighten up and copy me politically. NEVER MIND. Peru-Bolivia is a wonderful place, palatable to moderate tastes! Wonderful beaches and wonderful women, be sure to bring your kids! |

Let you guys know...
I had planned to post my 1846, 1847 turns for some time last few days. Bad news, things are getting crazy-busy this week.
I have some things that I need to finish last week but they're piling up AND I'm supposed to be out of town this upcoming weekend so I MUST catch up. Right after the weekend, my week will be revolving around a move into a new apartment.
But at least... once I have moved, the new place is AWESOME!! I'm seriously looking forward to the move.

I was planing on forming a breakaway group because you were jumping right in with no system or proposal in place whatsoever, I wanted to work with the others on making a working proposal unlike this league currently is. I have now, however decided that for now I will assist the League by attempting to come up with a system and leave if no system or a bad system is accepted. |
