As opposed to popping in, posting, and popping out? We won't force you to stay, just like we won't force you when on your Dip sorties If I did that, I'd be active again XD. No, I'll post it on Nationstates. You can be semi-active. It's better than not at all

OK, I'll do something different. I guess I'll be the Commander of the Navy. Fleet Admiral Jean-Luc Picard , 78: Jean-Luc Picard was born to a lower class, wine-making family in the year of 1938. He spent his childhood tending to the vines with his father, Maurice, and his brother, Robert. Young Jean-Luc was expected to continue tending the vines, so his family was greatly surprised when he joined the Navy Academy. During his 4th Academy year (1952), Picard got into a brawl and nearly got stabbed in the heart. He survived, graduated, and was assigned to serve on the EFCS Stargazer. He served as an engineer, and later the helmsman. During an enemy engagement in 1956, the Captain of the Stargazer was killed on the Bridge and the First Officer was injured. Lieutenant Commander Picard assumed command, and defeated the enemy. Central Command looked favorably upon his actions, and he was appointed Captain. In 1978, the Stargazer was attacked by an unfamiliar vessel. Picard used an innovative Maneuver to surprise and defeat the enemy, winning him further glory, although he did not care much for it. In 1987 (Trekkies will get why), Picard was appointed to command the Enterprise, the Imperial Flagship. In this command, he has been highly successful. In 2012, after leading a mission that rescued the Government of a longtime enemy from a greater rival, Picard was gave in and accepted promotion to Vice-Admiral. In 2014, he was promoted to a full Admiral. In 2015, he was promoted as Fleet Admiral, and Commander of the Navy, which is the rank he currently holds. Pictures (from top to bottom): Picard in Dress Uniform, Circa 2012 Picard in an Admiral's uniform with a failed Goatee, Circa 2013 Picard sipping Earl Grey, Circa 1990 Picard, as Captain, in a vest, Circa 2006 If anybody can tell me why I used 1987, they get 5 points

Jean-Luc Picard, that's when Star Trek - The Next Generation started airing. Coincidentally, the same year I was born.

Jean-Luc Picard, that's when Star Trek - The Next Generation started airing. Coincidentally, the same year I was born. 1) Correct. I pegged 2364 to 1987, and transliterated the others (2012=2379/Nemesis, for example) 2) That's pretty neat, being born on TNG, although if you were older you would've maybe watched the original run

Well... the second half, beyond 1990. It became a nostalgic memory to me, but I never had truly appreciated the quality of that show until much later when I was in the later parts of my teenage years.
