What kind of video game? Also some fights are impossible for plot reasons, like introducing an antagonist that the characters cannon defeat until they do certain requirements.

Ever had a fight in a video game that is just impossible to do? I'm on one Playing with a Custom Peasant Army against some type of Undead that I randomly rolled in Wesnoth. And the main way to beat them (without using gimmicky stuff or charging with your leader) is with magic (high resists to weapons). And peasants don't have any way of using magic.

Lmao, good luck stabbing those skeletons with those pitchforks, then getting...spear men and archers when you finally level up a peasant.

What's with the yetis...they just neutral units that don't attack you or limited allies to give you time to build up?

My northern advance was cut short by a couple of ghost things, and my Lv1 Batiushka (the only peasant I have leveled up to date) was almost killed. I had to risk leader to kill the unit that attacked it..

I'm fighting a newlywed couple that turn into raging behemoths and they each have an infinite amount of respawn in gang members. They relentlessly chase me around so I can't turn around and shoot. And if one of them falls, the other one revives the fallen one. After reviving, they both get full health and mutate into stronger forms. It was ridiculous. Thankfully with my Borderlands skillz, I beat them.

That happens in shenmue 2, 2 times. No matter how well you do in those fights the screen just fades to black than shows a cutscene.

*Spoiler Alert*
The South Guard scenario 07b: Pebbles in the Flood is one. You have to lose to continue, e.g. Sir Gerrick must die. The only way to stop the Undead Horde is for Gerrick to have 1 HP from leveling; AI never attacks units with 1 HP from leveling, so you can stay like that forever until you remember you have to lose an awesome, leadership, at least lv2 unit to continue.
*End Spoiler Alert*
