Bosnia was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and it was close to Serbia.
It was one of the first fronts.
Everything has been mobilized, everything that can be used by the army is bought or taken.
The Railways were used for war purposes.
Austria-Hungary was harsh to the Serb Population of the Empire,but some of them were sent to Serbia and Montenegro.
They were especially harsh to the Serb Politicians in the Empire, because they feared they would make Bosnia a part of Serbia.
A lot of weaapons and men were moved here and everybody knew that Military Actions would start soon.
12th August 1914 Austria-Hungary has invaded Serbia via Bosnia, Serbia has stopped them at mountain Ceru forcing them to retreat over The River Drina.
Serb and Montenegran Forces have invaded Bosnia, the Bosnian Population by The Drina were forced to move and their property was burned.
The Empire has started an another attack on them , they recaptured the teretorry in Bosnia they have also taken Belgrade and Valjevo.On The Kolubara was fought the deciding battle, The Serbs have won and pushed The Empire back.
A German,Austro-Hungarian and Bulgar attack on Serbia defeated Serbia in December 1815 and Montemegro in January 1816.
That is when the fighting has ended in Bosnia, but Hunger and Epidemics have been there.

There were 8 regiments of Bosnian Troops, they have fought Russia and Italy.
In the Regiments there were many Muslims Christians and a small number of Jews.
The Bosnian Soldiers were diffrent than normal soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The Uniforms were Gray-Green and with Feses.
The Bosnian Regiments were called Elite Forces.
The biggest victories were in July 1916,when they broke the Italian Front at Monte Meneli and the other was Autumn 1917 in the Battle of Kolobara."The Enemy was scared of attacking fronts with the Bosnian Units. That brought fear to the enemy lines.The Units that siwtched out the Bosnian Regements also wore a fes and their retreats were hidden, because fronts with Bosnian Regements were rarely attacked" -Kristof Nojmajer , Carevi Bošnjaci.

Džemaludin ef. Čaušević was the reisul-ulema (1913-1931) the Islamic Community ( Specific For Bosnia there are none c IC except in Bosnia), he couraged Bosnians to not fight , here is a quote translated :" We all live with other nonmuslim people in our motherland, with whom we become friends, with whom we will live and die"

He was the first knight of bosnianherzogovian forces.
Elez Dervišević
He was born in Bijeljina.
With 12 years he went into the Austro-Hungarian Army.
He was the youngest Austro-Hungarian soldier of WW1.

He was born in Banja Luka, he was in a bosnianherzegovian regement.
He is famous because of his diary that describes the deaths in the Italian Front.
Bosnian Unifroms in World War I
They were special, nobody had uniforms like them.
It was made of a čaršika ( wide pants), long socks and feses ( the hats).
Austria Hungary to cool things off with Bosnia theh gave them traditional clothes, but they only wanted to make them Light Infantry or Mountain infantry to be specific because Bosnians are experienced with Mountian Climbing
