Aztec special units. Their wording on ability is odd. I assume it's they do 50% more damage to archers and not the other way around. Wat. Aztec Cav... and conquistador as Aztec Unique Unit? Spain should have conquistador, and New World should not have cav (except Llamas for Incas if you really had to). Spain does have conquistador as one of its unique units.

best75, Der Kaiserreich, IMO the Aztec cav should be like AoE2: Eagle warrior line (perhaps anti-cav 'cav' line?) up to lv3, then normal cav (Dragoons and Armour) for 4/5.

One of Inca's unique unit is the Tercio. Another bad history thing to add. Spain has it as well but not much sense for Inca to have it.

Well in the late medieval age, Spain owns Mexico and Peru. So that's something to account for.
Not what I would like, tho.
Think about it though... if only Spain could build conquesators, then when it conquer the New World, it won't be able to produce them over there even though it's where those men were most active. The way it works in EW5, it doesn't matter which country owns the city, the city makes the same units.

I'm pretty sure it's Gunpowder Age. I thought the 15th century (1400s), around when Columbus discovers America, was the end of Medieval Age?

But in the gaming industry, sometimes it's shifted around, spliced, merged, etc... Good example: in Civ, Gunpowder Age is a small block of time inside the larger Medieval Age.

Well, I read mine from Horrible Histories (a bit biased but accurate) I think Medieval age ends when Tudors rule England and Columbus discovers America.

Well, I read mine from Horrible Histories (a bit biased but accurate) I think Medieval age ends when Tudors rule England and Columbus discovers America. That's a pretty good time to decide whether the medieval era ends, but in Spain they didn't really enter the industrial age pretty late, and the gunpowder weapons were merely an extension of Spanish medieval era, continuing from the Reconquesta to the golden age of the Spanish Empire (which definitely was way closer to the medieval than the later modern European empires). Like I said, eras are flexible... RL history is more like a flowing river of transition rather than a train of boxcars with brackets of determined history.
