For the most part I only read anything that deals with factual history, but some literary classics are good. What authors/writers did you have in mind? Someone like Erich Maria Remarque would be cool

I like reading books, not necessarily reading about the author Well knowong about the authour could make the story make more sense or more interesting. Mak Dizdar had many weird songs, one of the was lallo la le. That seems weird but that is a dialect of a region in Croatia, he traveled a lot and that is why a lot of his songs are kind odd and weird

Not one for European literature for the most part, prefer American literature such as Edgar Allan Poe (it's poetry, but still) or Mark Twain, but some like Joseph Conrad and Erich Maria Remarque would be interesting.

Well as I have alreasy said,I only read translated from Russian or Turkish ( sometimes French) but I mostly love Ottoman Empire Stories and Writers, War Stories and Stories about their mothers or childhood. And Ivo Nadrić ,Mak Dizďar wrote amazing stories, and "Orlovi Rano Lete" is a funny war story,Mak Dizdar traveled a lot and wrote songs witb diffrent dialects, many more Balkan Writers had awesome pieces of literature. I just realized, I also mostly read books/stories from Balkan Authors and then Turk then Russian

What time period is this again? If it's WW1 onward I think Erich Maria Remarque would be good. All Quiet on the Western Front is one of the most powerful and moving books I have ever read.
