I recently unlocked a new tech branch, and its description is "prepare satellite launch plan" but what does that do? I was told that I should invest in that tech, but it requires a ridiculous amount of resources, is it even worth the resources?

No. It is basically a glorified bragging right. You imput entire GDPs of nations to get very small amount of atom. You asked it a while ago. ANd yes, it's the only atom wonder, but you can farm more of it from 43/50/60. Saterllite is useless, it only gives you bragging rights and some little science. Make it last. But I think 43 is an atom map if I remember correctly. IMO, investment to satellite is waste of Atom. You need to build wonder, then upgrade Satellite in HQ to earn little amount of Atoms by time.(you need very long time to earn back the amount you spend to them) |

I mean the tech you unlock at level 29 (i think), it has a picture of a space shuttle in the middle of space, I think it's to set up the ion cannon, but I'm not sure, I don't mean the satellite wonder though, I mean at the tech tree, it's the 11th tech you can work on.

Same thing as Saterlite wonder if I remember correctly; I think it allows wonder to be built. IOn cannon tech and wonder is needed to use Ion. Someone like Erich von Manstein may be able to hep you better. |

Satellite=11th(spaceship)=allow launching after building wonder=little technology&bragging.
Ion cannon=12th(blue laser)=allow to use after building wonder=tiny teeny/very high output.

Satellite wonder consists of 3 steps: make plans, build satellite and launch it. You get resources only after all 3 are done. That's why you can't build any other atom wonder before satellite because plans of space shuttle/station are below satellite plans. |

As Resouces Wonder for Exp, Ind, and Ene, you just build them earn Resources immediately after click "finish icon" when you finish building wonder, you earn amount of exp. Atom is different, Example for satellite, you build wonder first, when finish there will be a icon above the wonder but not finish icon, there will be a notice when you click it and nothing happened. The second thing you should do is upgrade satellite tech in HQ. After " build the wonder" and " upgrade Satellite tech", you can click the icon, earn exp and small amount of atoms by time. |

One more step: after you have built satellite and upgraded tech you need to tap on satllite, it offers you launch satellite, which requires a few resources too, and than you can start to earn atoms. |

Oh, may be i forget it. I built Satellite very early and never pay attention on Atom Wonder after that, waste of resources =.=!

But I'm now saving for space station which is third atom wonder (my tanks are level 9 and, missiles level 4 and nukes level 2). My plan is to build every wonder, so as earlier I build it, as more resources I will get from it. |

Regardig costs a bit I was wrong. This is only for satellite and space shuttle. For station lauching cost 50 k cogs, 5 k atoms and 5 k lightnings.
