When she has more arty *s, she's a very good fort cracker due to her Spy skill. However, since she lacks Geography, she has to rely on movement *s to be able to move 3-4 hexes. If you can, let her spearhead the amphibious forces and knock out the coastal forts first. Then, let her fire away at the Large Fort north of London. I'm talking about Kate-she doesn't have any spy skill, unlike Sophia.

I'm talking about Kate-she doesn't have any spy skill, unlike Sophia. I tested Spain's chance of victory against Sidney if France is largely passive, just now. I think that if Kate is on the Battleship, you play defensively and draw the British towards the coastal fort and light arty, you may be able to sink that fleet. Then, you can raid and capture the ports around Plymouth and use it to open up Southampton and Dublin to capture. In the best case scenario, you may use Kate and the fleet to open up Liverpool as a base to attack Dublin. Alternatively, Kate may help to hold off Jervis' landing force from the Frigate anchored near Amsterdam.

Late to the party, but: don't overlook the fact that there is a goal/target in Denmark (Christiania). The Danes possibly will not defend it heavily enough to keep it safe, and the British may be able to sneak someone (e.g. Paget) in if you are not paying attention. You will probably need to defend it for them, possibly even by capturing it and annoying them. I wasted many turns on that!
