This level is not a road to hell. It's 'you are already in hell'. I keep getting wrecked by all of the French generals and starting out with so little units is seemingly impossible. Strategy? Generals: Sophia, Fatimah, Golitsyn, Kate, Radetzky, and Picton. All at least rank 98

Around round 6-9 starts me counterattack. Firsts targets are Paris and Lyon. Paris is very important...if you take paris at the right time the french will fall. Just let his arty general go to frankfurt before you go to attack paris with 3 generals take the industry in order to build artys and then surround the capital. Don't attack marselle

Ty friend I beat it. Didn't exactly follow the waiting strategy. I attacked as soon as I killed their attacking generals. Time for the Sun Never Sets. Here we go.

In my memory, someone use only Lan with double gilded armor(mo matter what name, just the cavalry defense +4) and five stared it.

I finally realized why this level is called "Road to Hell"
Because it leads to the Sun Never Sets Campaign a.k.a. Hell

I have Isabella(98/6), Kate (84/4)- I'm switching potent gunpowder(+6 atc), pressed powder(+2 atc) and canvas coat (+2 def) as needed; Maria(98/6) with brown Bess(+ 2 atc) and combat uniform(+4 def) and Gouvion(86/5) with gilding couriass(+4 def)and cavalry sword(+4 atc). I would be glad if some advice will be given how to pass it for 5 stars.
