Perhaps a more expensive paratrooper could be something like Paraarmor and drop armored cars. Nothing stronger than that though, otherwise it will be too op. Drop super tank after super tank...
Another one could be modifying terrain. Like the fences and trenches in EW4, Infantry can change desert terrain into forest or plains into deserts and so on.

I would maybe add the ability to upgrade your tank so that it can drive through terrain without having the - movement

On a fine sunny day, lord Mountbatten is loitering on his normal tank. Then, before he knows it..boom... he is surrounded by 6 aliens towers dropping from sky.  |
