The dead bird is great. Cooking it...not so much. I feel like Desophaeus, and all others in NA not living with their parents, can relate. I certainly can. Dinner is about going to start soon... can't wait for it!

I certainly can. Dinner is about going to start soon... can't wait for it! It's almost 9pm out in the East Coast. Why so late? CST. Normally we have our Thanksgiving dinner in the evening but some things came up (college homework and stuff). I had to attend to certain matters to ensure things went well. For whatever reason, my university apparently prefers to give only 2 days off from classes instead of a whole week.

hmm. Up here in Canada, college is still running. no holidays, unless you time-travelled and switched when christmas is. I don't remember getting a week off during thanksgiving, which is celebrated in october here.
Because I have relatives in Alberta, I thought it possible you would only be starting. Good question though, since it being Thanksgiving we know what continent and thus general time it should be.

Oh Batten... *chuckles* what does that mean? What is he saying? (Le me confused). Just a classic Batten-style joke. Anyway, what he was talking about is "pre-school" as in the kind of schooling a child goes to before the kindergarten grade (usually age 3, 4, 5, roughly). Some kids goes to preschools, and they last only a half day. Some kids don't attend preschools. It depends on the parents. I don't think many other countries have something that's called "preschools" but if you look it up on the wiki, I'm sure you will find info on the subject.

Just got on the laptop, and thinking... If I go on Steam and buy EU3 Complete, HttT, DW (the package is 80% off right now), would I have any problems downloading it for the second time onto a different computer?
My current laptop is dying and I plan to get a new one soon anyway. This laptop was an used one given to me, not quite what I would like, but it matters not. It has served me up to this point just okay-ish. I'm thinking of grabbing EU3 (I already have a good reason for NOT wanting EU4, btw) since it's on sale right now. Only 8 dollars for the whole thing... I'm a bit afraid that something could go wrong after buying it and download it onto my laptop then switching to a new one and try to redownload the game.
Anyone had some major issues with transferring Steam purchases from a PC to a PC? (I don't mind losing a save file, but I'm talking about the purchase itself).

It's up to you, Deso. And wait... You can get EasyTech games online? I apologize for the abbreviations... Europa Universalis III Complete, then Heir to the Throne Divine Wind not European War 3 Anyway the package...It's on sale from the Steam store. It doesn't say when the sale expires, but probably this weekend because it's Black Friday nowdays, then accumulates at Cyber Monday at the end of the weekend. That's pretty normal around this time of the year.

I never played it (eu3) since I have been told its even more addictivethen civ and age of empires.. on steam its for 3 euro. No need for package i think. Ehy not eu4? (7euro)

DLCs, Singlemalt , DLCs... DLCs, Hate them in the way the company (Paradox Interactive Studios) deliberately takes away a portion of the pre-existing base game and leave behind a 'free update' that restricts something that used to be available to you for use. Then in that wrapped up DLC, the company unveils a revised edition of that particular part of the game back to you for a low, low, low price *wink wink*. Some companies are more honest than that and releases DLCs as genuine add-ons to a game, adding more contents where there wasn't any before. That's why I'm not buying EU4 (unless they stop releasing DLCs for it and start selling an actual complete version of it and restraint themselves from releasing further DLCs after that). Probably after they finally grow tired of milking their favorite cash cow and move on to EU5, then they will compile a complete version of EU4 for once, I guess?
Anyway, did you had any problems with Steam and switching to a new computer?
