Here's something random:
I'm almost halfway through the second to last editing process in my novel.
My overall checklist:
-Finish the book
-Fix major plot points to lift the story
-Add to the book to make it longer
-Adjust major plot points to accompany the length
-Edit the novel overall to fit my audience
-Polish it up (Where I am)
-Grammar edit
-Publish

Do you plan to go back through the book in a few months with fresh eyes?
Nowdays authors don't do that, but the truly great ones do. C.S. Lewis (maybe not everyone's favorite, but he did write well), J.R.R. Tolkien definitely did rewrite his books quite a lot, until he was satisfied with what he wrote for his masterpiece. Frank Herbert did took his time to write through his Dune series too.
