So Reis is a German surname, and its also a military rank in the ottoman empire, but its also a French christian name. So lets say a Frenchman of German descent is then named Reis Reis, what happens if he joins the Ottoman military? Would he be called Reis Reis Reis? Reis in Turk would be the equivalent of Raees in Urdu, and it MIGHT mean "noble" or a person of noble decent.

Not so different. Not sure how the caste system worked, but I'm sure the kings would have been starting the wars.
