In Nato 3 Badoglio from field artillery makes to super tank max 68 damage and to assault infantry max 76 damage. Shot is made from the same spot (desert) on the first turn, so nothing is different. The only difference is that infantry stands on oil field and tank on desert. And for sure it is maximum damage, as that was done when artillery leader skill effect appeared. Tried the same in Allies 9 - from plain field makes 76 damage to tank on plain field and 60 to batallion artillery. Seems like that happens because enemy unit is standing on desert in Nato and mountain in Allies campaign. This means that when my unit is standing, for example, in mountain, it receives less damage So far it is clear. But my damage is 28-60 plus 4 stars artillery which have to be 20 damage. So in total max damage is 80. But why it is 76? Anyone knows it?

When you click a terrain you see precentage below resource right? For example: it shows Arti -10% , so it is the reduction. If your unit have 40 atk, attacking from/to that terrain the atk is 40-(40*10%)=40-4=36. So your unit that attacking from/to that terrain will have 36 damage. Sorry if Im wrong

The question is why max damage is 76 when shooting from hex with no penalty to hex with no penalty, which have to be 80. Tried in allies 5, shot tank, which is 1 square away, damage was 78.

It is carried over from EW4 that Mountains and Forests cause a reduction in damage taken from Tank/Cavalry and Artillery 3) Maybe Hidden Evasion carried over from EW4, too. 4) Leader doesn't always give same number. It seems to give a narrow range near the top.

I thought the terrain was for affecting movement. For example, I noticed that a heavy tank can move forward at 3 tiles per turn. However, certain types of terrains limit the amount of tiles the heavy tank can move, i.e. in the mountains, its movement gets cut down to about 2 tiles at max. Not sure that I clarified completely, but hopefully you guys understand what I'm trying to say. But yes, I did notice that too about terrain (damage reduction).

That is geography, of wc3 and it would seem realistic for a FA to go at a slow pace than a MI Besides we're talking about dmg not movement

It seems to give a narrow range near the top. This was first turn in campaign, so both units had full health. And leader gives the same number always, that's for sure (I have tested it many times checking what shield penetration gives). Just figured out why that happened. Seems like each target level reduces damage by 2 (or may be by 2%). From the same spot made 80 dmg to lvl 1 infantry and to lvl 1 tank, and from the same spot 78 dmg to lvl2 armoured car. Everyone was standing on plain terrin. 76 dmg was to lvl 3 unit. And my Guderian did 94 dmg (of 100 available) to lvl 4 alien.

Yes, as I just figured out, units get defense starting from level 2.
