yeah, back when this thing was actually alive. How'd this thing even die? It's not dead, just in a coma because Deso is MIA.

Yeah well, how much money does EFC possess? We can't keep it in a coma forever.
If I wasn't lazy I'd go look at Canadian Coma Law. Instead I'll finish my EW5 holy roman conquest.

Where could Deso be, though? Does he have exams, complicated life things? Hell I could host if y'all gave me a couple days to get the rules and current situation down; more importantly though I need approval.

It should be pretty serious I would guess, unless he broke from the pressure of running this, which I...doubt? I imagine his events for each year are taken directly from history. Knowing that is far from being a fair, impartial, and good GM though... could make a new thread, starting off from our positions right now with a new GM. after all, who says we can't fight over italy more than once? *Byzantion is innudated in responses that say we can't*

The same reason why I spend less time here now. I suggest we wait; Crimea knows the pain of losing 99% of your land and being conquered anticlimatically.

I don't think it would be at all fair to Desophaeus for someone else to take over. He put so much of his time and effort into this and although I know you have good intentions offering to run it, I just don't think it's fair to Desophaeus. He must have somthing going on in his life now since he hasn't been able to log on at all. We just need to wait. If nessasary we can lock this thread until he gets back and start another TW if there's one ready.

yes, most reasonable to just wait for him. I however, have to wonder if he really is coming back. I said in the chat that this isn't a website where you HAVE to check in, but since he was running this TW, It seems weird to leave the forum for days upon days without saying anything at all.
I'm in no hurry though, I can wait.

Desophaeus has made his views on people not living up to their commitments here quite clear and he isn't a hypocrite so if he hasn't checked in now I'm sure he had a good reason. Quintus Fabius, starting a Diplomacy game earlier to replace this wouldn't be a bad idea if your up to it. I suggest that someone ( Jean-Luc Picard?) locks this thread until Desophaeus returns and if he is up for it, Quintus Fabius, starts his Diplomacy game soon. Diplomacy takes much less preparation so it's a lot easier to get a Diplomacy game up than a TW.

Yeah I agree we need dip for the time being to keep us all engaged. Also, António Salazar please lock this. We've derailed enough already and this is the real game thread we're all derailing

Frederick the Great ,I know you are about to lock, if not already, but I never said he was a hypocrite or acting badly. I specifically stated at multiple points that something might be up, since such an odd absence. Hopefully not. Anyway, I havent played dip before, so I don't know if I will join.

Oh no I didn't mean I thought you meant that. Sorry, I mustn't have been as clear as I thought I was. What I meant was people disappearing during a game is something Deso doesn't like (for good reason) but he has disappeared so I wanted to stress that if Deso is doing something he clearly doesn't like people doing he must have a good reason because he is not a hypocrite. Does this make more sense?
