I was perhaps thinking about starting to put together a few lectures on here when granted the time, and wanted to know what you guys would like to see. Please select an area or two in the poll and describe in detail your topic so I can gather as much information as possible. Any idea you want, I will be able to make. Just need time. These ideas are VERY broad, so when you select one please narrow it down and explain your topic. Also, these are just basic ideas, please feel free to suggest any other topic!

We could use some work about the Mexican-American War, if you want to write about it

You say 1812 american conflict, I say canadian conflict.
.....not really. It didn't matter as much to the British, though I think its more important to my canada than america. Then again, go that route and it probably mattered more to relevant native americans.
Wikipedia says, unsurprisingly, that more americans died than british, though I wonder if that includes native americans, who mostly favoured Britain. Quite possibly.
I guess it would be interesting to read a lecture about how the mexican-american war was fought. I just finished the latest book in a series where storms take random people to another world with similar geography. Two american groups arrive at the same year as when they left, one consisting of men from an american transport fleet in the Mexican-american war.
