Playing this game as italy, 1906 spring going on. England abandoned the alliance with me, though I got the Ottomans with me (he has total domination in East Europe, which is good AND bad) who is continuously building armies (instead of armies and fleets). Austria and Germany are dead and me and France are fighting in the Mediterranean. Do you realize this means Turkey needs only two new fleets, one in CON, one in SMY, bye bye Ionian Sea for you... And everybody knows... if the Ionian Sea goes down, Italy goes down!

You left the game?
Bad idea... a loss (while not missing deadlines) is way better than missing deadlines or dropping out.
It will take you a long time before you can play a better ranked game (rank of reliability btw, not necessarily win/loss, more of finished/total.).
Low ranking games tend to fill up with idiots or absent players. Boring...

Just joined a random game to get a feel for it. So, how exactly does this game work, anyways?

Just joined a random game to get a feel for it. So, how exactly does this game work, anyways? Um well... I suggest reading two threads I made to explain Diplomacy... european-war-4.boards.net/thread/2128/diplomacy-gameeuropean-war-4.boards.net/thread/2686/wanted-explain-diplomacy-movesBasic introduction to the game, and then the second one is about writing orders in Diplomacy. I have to warn you, TK421, Diplomacy is NOT a normal game like you have ever played before. It's nothing alike to anything else and I have played well over 200 board games and over 100 strategic genre games (No, not the crap you find in "strategy" that involves tower defense garbage).

(No reply) an impatient guy like me will leave

Trying to exploit the "build" system Back story; Playing a game as Italy and its winter 1901, I am allowed to build two units. Now, if you have built the number of units you are "allowed" and commit, it doesn't let you build more. I tried to build a fleet and I can see it in the docks of Naples even though I have built two already. Let's see if I can get it

Might as well die with dignity well as of now its "you're definitely killed" because I have an army in Tyrol left and Vienna empty. So you know....
