When people start calling the "Confederate Battle Flag" as the "Confederate Flag" and forget that the Confederate Flag was actually the "blood-stained banner", NOT the "bars and stars" (the Confederate "Flag").

Cultural adaptation or evolution *shurgs* You have to realize that it has been more than 150 years since the CSA lost the war. It's worse when you realize it IS more than 150 years ago and yet people still obsess about it, putting the Bars and Stars on things like the side of a barn or the roof of a car. Crying about a loss that's over 150 years old is facepalm worthy. *facepalm* |

When a redneck thinks anything north of Ohio River is "The North" and calls everybody a yankee. Dude.... whatever "the North" was, it's pretty much all gone and faded into the distant past long since. As a man born and raised in Ohio, I never thought of myself as a Yankee, because we never said we're from the North. We're from the Midwest.
New York to Maine...
The area in Northeast still do keep the "North" culture and mutated it into Nor'Easterners thing. *They* are the Yankees, and they're proud of it. That's their thing.
