My classmates used to not know who Hitler and Stalin were. We are studying elective History till we graduate. Note that they are 14-15 at that time. And this year/atm, we are studying on: A) Imapact of WW1 and the League of Nations B) Rise of the Communist USSR and the Rise of Stalin. C) Rise of Nazi Germany and the Rise of Hitler. D) Stuff Leading to WW2 in Europe. E) Defeat of Nazi Germany (and co.) in WW2 in Europe. F) Stuff Leading to WW2 in the Pacific/Asia. G) Defeat of Japan in WW2 in the Pacific/Asia. Ps: It was around the time right before our first exams in the middle of the semester. We were tested on A) and parts of B). Sounds like normal stuff that a student should know. It's really good for your school to have a course on this stuff to make sure the students do know at least important things that they SHOULDN'T be clueless about.

Social Studies is compulsory but not History sooo... (Anyone who still don't know these 2 infamous dictators but ARE students in History class should be sent to gulaks)

When my economics teacher said that SERBIA started WW2 Well, technically WWII was a indirect result of the treaty of Versailles, which was the result of WWI, which was started by a regional conflict between Austria-Hungary and Serbia...

That's right. Only, Austrian started it. The assasinasion of the Grand Duke was just an excuse. Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf(Austria Chief of Staff) had asked the emperor to declare war on Serbia about 30 times in 1913.

My sister once made a presentation about princess Caroline of Monaco. It was very detailed and showed every little aspect of her (unfortunate) life. But then I asked her where is Monaco: "In Spain".
