I remember that in my history book (a long time ago) the term "stadhouder"was translated as "stadholder". Hilarious.

Orginal Dutch words: Stroopwafel (delicious cookie), pannekoek (pancake but the american ones bit the Dutch ones :3) and grachtenhuis (the typical houses like the ones in Amsterdam)
Right English word for Stadhouder is either Stadhouder or Stadtholder ( Idk where they got the t in Stadt fro, it is not Dutch) which means Owner/Ruler of the City.

You have a new status Netherfreak! "The Dutch army shall rise again". I seriously doubt that. I think you heard that the Dutch didn't have enough ammunition and therefore had to shout (!!!!!!) "pangpang" when they were "shooting" with their weapons.
And then the government does have enough money for soldiers to be present on a boat at the Gaypride :3. (Not that I have something against homosexual people)
