I'm having trouble with this particular mission. I actually somehow managed to run out of food and have my entire army become confused and unable to do anything.
Does anyone have an strategies I should use? What should I do with Poland? I only have Golytsin.

Does anyone have an strategies I should use? What should I do with Poland? I only have Golytsin. Put Golitsyn on the Armored Car. Defend against Poland. Blitz Munich, but from there inch slowly toward France. Without artillery generals, it might get tough. Keep Golitsyn healthy or give him a snare drum and he'll rip the French to shreds. Make sure to build enough farms so you don't run out of food. |

Artillery generals are especially important, since you are: a) Besieging cities, b) Facing generals with Mass Fire + Leadership (Lannes) and other powerful generals. Other than that, the time given in this mission is much more than you need. Getting 5 stars, provided good generals, is easy. Use the morale event after capturing Munich. With Poland, handle them with the light cav and arty in the beginning. Spawn more units if you need them. I suggest you take on the bonus objective after you've compeleted the mission. Edit: spam forts to distract the AI |

This amazing guide made by coughmecoughcough might work. I'll answer my own question. After a few retries I finally was able to complete it by: First taking Munich with everything I've got, careful not to attack the machine gun general with inf or cav. Secondly, defending Mynich from all the op French generals. At the same time, trying to take karlsruhe and the factory next to it. I spammed arty from the factory to help killing the French. Thirdly, using what I have left and by spamming arty, take the other objectives which should basically be unguarded by now. DO NOT FORGET ABOUT POLAND, THEY ATTACK YOU. How does one get Sophia and is it possible with only Golytsin? |

Frederick the Great , one gets Sophia by completing a european conquest under 65 turns. France 1798 is the easiest to get her with one gen IMO.

Launch an all-out assault on Poland with Golitsyn and Sophia or Isabella. Defend on the west. Get everyone back into position and repeat. You do only need the 1 star for the bonus mission, right? |

The way that I always got the bonus was by using one of my weaker generals against Poland (Sophia) while the rest went against France. It's pretty difficult to do the first time around so maybe you need to wait until your generals are stronger and you have more.
The bonus mission is Fall of the Emperor or something like that. You play as HRE/Austria and have Napoleon surrounded in polish territories. That's what you have to look forward to.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm now up to the HRE campagin's second mission and have Golystsin, Scharnhorst and Sophia (though she is only 2 starts artillery still, I'm saving to get Gazan to train her).
