Alright comrades it's time for the new game that'll (hopefully) not die of salt or inactivity. The map as of now is "crowded" (its called crowded, don't get confused). Link to the map and its rules www.vdiplomacy.com/variants.php?variantID=14Anyways, countries! Firstly, the new ones; Balkan Union Lowland Countries: (taken by Leopold the Great) Scandinavian Union: (taken by Imperial RomeBall) Spain: (taken by Stonewall Jackson) And now, the "traditional" ones Britain:(taken by Jean-Luc Picard) Germany:(taken by Bismarck Jr) Austria: (taken by Yi Sun Sin) France:(taken by best75) Italy: (taken by Desophaeus) Turkey: (taken by Der Kaiserreich) Russia: (taken by Von Bismarck jr) Game will start with a winter phase (winter 1900). Everyone gets to choose their own units. Also, turns are sent to the GM in private. So don't post your turns out in the open . And lastly, the standard game rules apply to this game as well. The only difference is that Ruhr is now a SC.

When I typed that in, went to google search. First websites rules seem pretty barebones, but I don't know anything.
I will take Scandinavia, if that is fine. No guidebook to read for me!!! *is annihilated*
BTW, the lowlands do not deserve 3 armies, they are no rival to most of the countries on this list, if any. However, its fair and the way the game is played.

However the useless Austrian fleet is removed (as it is entirely useless) and has been replaced with an army.

Austria-Hungary! Yes, I'm serious. Maybe a bit crazy though. Yay, A dinosaur playing as a dinosaur!!! Well, Im playing TW14 as an Italian, and I played Dip04 as Italy, so I think Ive had enough of Central troubles. And I never even played the main version, where Italy and Austria suck hard. Lets just say that now Ive got....Carolean Troubles. Darn. Where is Quintus Fabius when you need him...

Iberia or Italy
Italy doesn't look so disadvantaged now that everyone is rubbing elbows so closely.

It says "In the Crowded variant the standard map is used with the exception of having a supply center in Ruhr. Each of the 35 supply centers starts out as a home center for one of the eleven players. The original seven players start out with their normal units and positions and are joined by the four new players: (the blah blah for Iberia, Scandinavia, Lowlands, Balkans)" It means that Austria starts with a fleet in Trieste. If you're changing the starting unit for F TRI, can you set it so that the first phase is Winter 1900 (no movements, just build your starting units at your starting positions)? That way, each player decides what they want to start with (Of course, inland SCs can't build fleets, but other than that, it's flexible).

I will do Russia. EDIT: It appears that Von Bismarck jr has beat me to Russia. I think I may sit out because I don't really like this map.
