Alcohol is poison for the soul. And the liver.

Champagne and beer is legal for 16+ here. I'm known to have a beer every other week

Little thing called Jewish rituals=1 glass of wine per week, minimum. Little thing called Earl Grey=I don't need any more than that.

Pop is a perfectly acceptable word, except in the minds of rednecks. SMH
Soda and pop both are fine.

Never felt the temptation to scar my stomach lining every time a small amount alcohol goes into it (leading to ulcers eventually) or to destroy my liver or to lapse in judgement because even a slight buzz is enough to disable the decision processing center in the brain first before anything else is affected by the rising alcohol blood level. Plenty of good reason to not even bother with the drinking. If I drank alcohol, I might as well destroy my lungs with cigarettes too. It's really is the equivalent of smoking cigarettes in terms of lack of positive health benefits and abundance of negative health impacts. It makes sense to me to not drink. *shurgs*
