But still interested to hear where the reference is from It's from a little known game called Facade. You play in first person as a character that is invited to dinner by an old friend and his wife. They start bickering though and you have to talk them through their arguments. You can freely type and the AI will react to what you say. If you say something wrong like "Eat potatoes, Trip!" They'll get a shocked expression and it'll count as a strike. 3 strikes and Trip throws you out of his house with the above dialogue. But for reasons unknown to everybody, if you say 'melon' at any time it leads to automatic ejection. Example: "Mountbatten, Hi! So glad we could have you over-" "Melon." *shocked face* "Ok, you know what I think it's time for you to go" etc. |
