@skiwd: Thanks for the answer. I saw the post about Suleiman, Attila and Saladino, but it was inconclusive. So, do you think Attila is better campaign wise?
@ James Harden: I'm already in Discovery and half way literature-wise to Gunpowder. There are 3 sources of literature in the game:
- The ones you get in certain missions. I think you already have those.
- The ones you get from Conquest with certain nations: this source is good for players that have quite some time to play a day.
- The ones from missions: best alternative for those who can't (or don't want to) play many hours a day. This one requires patience.
My experience with Easytech games is that they don't make games to boost through them in one month, except if you pay lots of real money. They are designed to take months if you want to complete them without spending real cash. I do buy them one thing in each game though, as a way to support them. In this case it was Washington, as I enjoy ranged generals a lot (and Napoleon seemed a bit disappointing for its price).
In conclusion, with Easytech, patience is the best strategy, kind of Montgomery approach to war...

Contrary what others say, Attila would be better as you have enough infantry to deal with ranged enemies. If you want a quick boost to campaign gunpowder, Attila is your guy.
