I'm already taking French Dutch is a good idea, the Dutch have a strong historical presence in NY and I'm guessing it would be the easiest one to learn in order to get introduced to German, Swedeish, etc.

I speak British and am willing to teach it. What's the difference between the American English and British English? I already know about the spelling, but peoples say there are more.

Off topic completely, but does anyone know an 'easy' language other than English or any of the Romance languages? I want to find this language so that it can be used as a jumping off point for learning more ones. I would suggest Mandarin. I know it will be very difficult (like I when I was studying English) but it will be very useful in the future, especially if you are doing business. And when you are familiar with the Chinese characters (traditional one), you can jump to Japanese as well. Though the languages are different but those characters are commonly used in China, Japan, Korea, and other places with Chinese people.

And more importantly, knowing Chinese allows you to get access to new Easy Tech games before everyone else here. Well, except Erich von Manstein , I guess.

Actually if you want to become a business man and you are younger than ~20 then I'd say learn French. Countries in Africa (which speak French) are growing very fast and by like 2050 French will be a must for business people

german is easier to learn Trust me I know German. As long as you aren't a history fanatic you don't want to learn German. German is very complex and from what I have seen it looks like Dutch is simpler
