1. Using the name of a living person as your nickname is discouraged. 2. If that's your face, I'm going to ask you to read my post above. Face reveals are a no-no. There is already a certain Moderator using a living sportsman as their name though...just saying. when Jean-Luc Picard wants to make a rule but forgets that the rule was broken before it was even made

Yes and I'm not going to change it until someone presents me with a valid reason that's not just their opinion. Sorry To be clear, I don't have any problem with it. It was just that the suggestion Picard had made was already broken so I didn't think it was right to have one person recommended to change but not another. I have no problem with it, though I do think Picard's rule isn't a bad idea as our forum is primarily historically based not sports based it's just if it becomes a rule it should go for everyone.

Indeed. I already noticed that James Harden broke the rule. Since it is sports players, who naturally suffer invasive attention, unlike ours, I see no reason to ban it. At least, outside the historical field. If we were using other contemporary people it might be a different story. Whether you consider sports players a tasteful profile, is also a different story. I am not going to attack that opinion. True story. For a small period of time I thought Jaromir Jagr was Engie

It's not a rule listed anywhere, just a general agreement (to my understanding as I was part of the discussion eons ago) not to use political figures. As James isn't political nor is he going to roll into the forum and say What's Up anytime soon, I see nothing wrong with it. When it's listed in the community rules then I will change it. A thread about a left thumb is hardly the place to discuss this though, so I'll leave it at that.
