Now you ought to switch status, since the Fourth Crusade hurt you much more than I did I suppose so, but we are on the third, and without you there would be no fourth crusade. (of course, the Catholic church might have eventually gotten angry enough to attack Eastern Byzanz, or resist a reinvigorated Roman Empire. But thats very speculative) |

Jean-Luc Picard , actually, if taking the Arabs as a whole, and not generals like Saladin, you could argue the heavy damage done to the Byzantines prior to the crusades, were much worse than the fourth Crusade. It would take much longer to reach Constantinople if the Byzantine army and navy could draw upon the resources of Turkey, let alone the middle east and Egypt. (and there would be one enemy only, so the Byzantines would know the crusaders were hostile. No sneaking up)

I found a Chinese mod that adds in African nation to WC3 And what nation is that? Another of my impossible thoughts, is adding Ethiopia to EW5. It would be the only "black" nation in the game. My Idea is it would take Egyptian Aswan and maybe Meroe, always have port sudan, and a new city would be added-Adis Ababa. I would add San'aa in Classical age, as ancient Ethiopia owned a piece of southern Arabia. They would thus be a naval power as is historically true. I would strengthen Ottoman at one point by giving them non-Ethiopian Egypt. During that conquest, Ethiopia might gain one or two far-south African cities to help it fight Ottoman by default. The only general I have thought of, is Haile Selassie. Obviously need a ancient general, not a 1930s, but I don't remember any. As for campaign, I thought of Eithiopa invading Egypt from the south, as southern powers occasionally tried to take over. Somewhat a-historically however, is the twist. As you march from the south, the Arabs invade from the north. Thus you end up fighting both forces. |

But all of modern African countries that can fit on the WC3 map. And yes, this means Africa has more cities (actually, Europe has more cities in that mod too!) |

I don't believe I could download if I wanted to, unless they recently added mods for Apple (and WC3 costs money over here. I'm not paying for a game I 80% completed) |
