What the German skins will look like: Native American, but pale, with wolf skins instead of furs MAYBE Sounds cool! Now only if they could howl at the general direction of the night sky somewhere above every time they makes a kill. I kid... The wolf furred pale warriors do sound like they're perfect for the Germanic barbarians for the Roman historical mod. Germanians can't get a kill if the Romans slaughter them Speaking of which, that conquest map Bismarck Jr , where rome is small and 3 stars. I assume that is a conquest before the rise of Rome. Should be the stronkest 3 star ever!

Ok 2. yeah, you are right. After the battle of the Teutoburg forest, the Romans regroup, killed 20,000 Germans in a vengeance campaign, then retired behind the rhine. The enemy leader who beat up the Legions, Arminius, was assassinated by his own people. 2.1. For hundreds of years after (397 to be exact) The Romans hold onto Modern Germany south and west of the rhine. (thus Cologne would be a roman city) In fact, Cologne was founded 41 years after the crushing defeat at Teutoburg, and was called Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium. It was the capital of the provinces Germania inferior and secunda, which remained Roman until 475 AD. So yes, went terribly. 500 years of colonization, before the germans finally broke the Roman stranglehold. Well, I guess thats better than the Iberians (Spain and Portugal) who took 800 years to break free from Muslim empires. And of course, Roman empire was defeated by Germania, while the Spainards did not kill the Caliphate. I read a book by Harry Turtledove, BTW, about the great defeat of Rome at Teutoburg forest. Called "give me back my legions" as the Roman emperor supposedly yelled everyday, so saddened by the defeat he was. Anyway, don't mind me. If I can take pride in Scotland never being conquered by Rome, you can take pride in the Germans, which have a more unbroken connection to such distant ancestors.

Have you never heard of a Phyrric victory? Teutoburg cost Rome so much, even an eternity of occupying Germany couldn't make up for the dead legions, aside the fact that the occupied Germans simply denied Roman law and tax and went about their way.

Before a hearthstone expansion everyone is always saying the meta is going to slow down because we are seeing all these awesome cards that can win you the game but cost much mana. When we get to the expansion the meta is still as fast as ever with pirate warrior being the prime deck

Just throwing this out there: How does a WWI or maybe WWII alt-history sound? Clearly, nobody could put it together now, but once everything scheduled now ends, does it sound like an interesting idea to anyone else?

I think its a good idea. There is the HRE one, though that is next in line but after that I would certainly player a WW2 one.
