I'll assume you don't know how to tag people either? Just go to their profile, look at their username, type it with a "@" before it. (E.g. My username if tomson, so I type tom... , when I post it I get Der Kaiserreich ) I always use it to draw someones attention here ('cause they'll get a notification) or to call them (since display names can be changed and change very often, just typing it out can become confusing later on.) , Ok. I'll just add... When quoting, you should be typing at the bottom of the post section. Your blinking cursor should be down and to the bottom left. Sometimes if you erase your words or click too close to the last persons message, it will start writing on theirs. Which causes what you did. Just go back to the thread and quote them again to fix it (if you erased) or click near the bottom left if you accidentallyclicked on the quoted message. A lot of people on this forum accidentally do what you did, and don't get attacked for it. Though personally you should make an effort not to do that. |

This is from the mobile version, but I made a quick sketch to show you what Imperial RomeBall meant in his explanation, but this time in a visual way.  Orange: AVOID Blue: Exactly where you want to aim for your own post. Don't click anywhere outside the blue box before you start typing something. Also if you need to delete your words and start over with your post, never backspace all the way to the beginning of your portion. Always leave at least one alphanumeric or special symbol character in there THEN after you typed your new revised post, you can remove that bit. Example:
12345789 (D'oh! Forgot the 6 and I don't want those numbers in my post anyway) (Backspace until 1, and leave it there) 1 (Now you can say something else like "Hello, my name is Todd.") 1Hello, my name is Todd. (Final step, remove the 1) Hello, my name is Todd. (Now it's ready for you to post) |

ThrawnIf you erase your planned post in the blue area completely OR click on the orange portion (which is the quote of somebody's post) your typing will become trapped inside the other person's quote tags and if you post that... it will just spout out a mess of combined posts.

Anyone here likes battlefield 1? Best battlefield game by far, imo. Honestly, I don't like how battlefield 1 represents the German scout class, a large portion of the classes, as African. Simply isn't historically accurate. The German army in southern Africa used colonial troops to great effect, but they weren't used on the western front. I'm pretty sure there was almost 0 africans in Germany in 1914, so its not like a large portion, or really any portion, of the army could have been raised locally. Makes sense to some extent for the American army, but is ridiculous to represent a country with almost no people of one type, as a large portion of the army. In 2017 Germany could raise such units I imagine, King richard knows better than me, but even now the sheer number is wrong. |
