I recruit generals that are available for coins only. Catherine is good and and she can replace Robin Hood in Discovery age.

She is for me a 6-star unit. But in the end i wouldnt spend medals on here. Moctuzuma and li hongzang are my 6star blue generals (arch teams).
At the right age at her starting stars she can be used very nicely

She can help in defense missions. She has bonuses at lvl 5 (against cavalry) and at lvl 6 (against archers). And in defense missions such bonuses are of great importance. I think, the only problem with her is the question - whether or not to upgrade her to lvl 6. 770 medals are not reasonable investment if we know that she is not a first team player. If, on the other hand, she could have Commander skill instead of that crap she has, it would be a very different situation...

She is good for people that don't have as many good generals, but she needs to be heavily escorted to be of any use

I used her, upgrading to 5 star and she is useful for the time where you can't fill all your slots with good generals due to lack of medals but once you get the good generals you should ditch her.

She's worth buying because she doesn't cost medals. Personally I've upgraded her to level 5 because my lineup has been struggling against cavalry, but otherwise I wouldn't spend any medals on her.
