I need help with this level, I really want the paladin armour from it . My issue is that I can get through the defenses, but I got swarmed, and end up dying when I breach the western wall, I don't know how to avoid getting swarmed, my gens are, Alexander, Caeser, Li Shimin, Oda Nobunga, Cleopatra, Hannibal, Robinhood, and Hou (something), this may be too many generals, but those are my best ones.

What level is Cleopatra and Li Shimin? You should definitely use them to spam the defenses and bombard the castle. But because of their high importance, try and keep Caesar and Alexander in front of them at all time. The other generals will come in handy for killing units that try and attack your artillery units. Keep them alive! That's usually a good rule for city destruction campaign missions.

Instead of making a single space breach in the wall, make a 2-space breach. Don't push into the castle until you've destroyed both wall pieces. This way your generals won't be surrounded and taken out 1 by 1. Once you've breached, just rush towards the building objective, it's usually unguarded, using your artillery generals to take out the castle afterwards. If you still can't break through, keep a cavalry general at full health and use him to charge in and kill the infantry swarms. Save Alexander's power for the breach, and he can also deal with a swarm too.

My issue is Caeser and Alexander are usually near death by the time the wall is breached, so then the swarm comes and my siege is defenseless, it may be better to do this with cannons and guns in discovery

It'd be way easier in Discovery... And you're making sure that Caesar and Alexander aren't getting attacked by too many cavalry or generals? I recommend using them more like a wall, to not attack other units (except archers) and to take up space to protect your artillery. Try again. Try and also destroy those two enemy towers, so they can't shoot at your gens.

Make sure you protect li shimin until he can attack the castle and make sure Kaliad (the A.I. Catapult) gets to attack the castle as well he should do most of the damage and his presence weakens the swarm behind the wall, then just push one or two guys into the swarm and take the final objective.

Khalid refuses at all costs to attack the castle for me, he goes after the Flame unit on the island and the two catapult towers. I only have Alexander, Nobunaga, Hannibal, Joan, Ashoka, and Robin Hood. I don’t have Artillery yet besides really low level Cleopatra

I don’t have Artillery yet besides really low level Cleopatra I recommend ditching Ashoka for Mocty just for his healing skill. Use it upon entering the city. Medieval Age Alexander functions as a very good fort cracker until the Discovery Age campaigns. Use him to breach BOTH target city gates to maximise the entry and deployment of your troops. Break the wall with Alexander and send Joan in with Nobunaga Oda and Robin for support. Don't advance too deep in or Joan will get slaughtered by the spammed enemy archers. Take the Range (the spawn point for archers) and slowly clear out the archers. Use Hannibal as a distraction for the towers. Enemy towers tend to attack weak enemies that are: 1. As far away as possible (preferably at the limits of their range) 2. Unable to counterattack (all inf and cav units) 3. Have the lowest HP. Make sure that the Stables in front of the pass is occupied by allied units. If the enemy reclaims it, they can spam cav units.
