We had about 0 expectation for EW5, but I think it came out to be pretty good. Rate it 1-10
1 being Parking Stars, 10 being a chocolate sundae (best)

This is a smart poll, a very important question.
I gave a 9.
I think it did very well. Consider that GOG 2 and, I'm sorry to say, 3 kingdoms did so bad. EW5 could have very well continued this tradition, killing the brand.
Instead, I would rank it as one of the better Easy-Tech games.
While it departs in some respect from tradition, and is not perfect, I think it is a very good omen for the next game. That, is a very important question in deciding its worth.

I think we can only truly measure EW5 once WC4 comes out If WC4 is successful, then EW5 fulfilled its duty as a test vehicle. For now, it's a good game but imperfect. Which is fine, because ET are trying some new things

Is there a zero anywhere by chance? Because that's what I would rate it.

well it's because I don't like it at all Yes I know that I'm asking why don't you like it? The graphics aren't good but everybody gets used to them. The gameplay is alright. The only problem I have is the ridiculous literature grind. I highly doubt I'll ever get into Gunpowder age much less Industrial.

Now I have 250 Literature...need over 900. Taking it slow now, just collecting medals. Try the campaign from time to time. Oh, and I'm working on a conquest.

Nah I've already gotten burned out from the game due to the amount of repeating conquests over and over. So when I say it's unlikely I'll ever progress, I mean it's almost a certainty. I've beaten all of the Discovery campaigns with three stars so there isn't much to play for besides the satisfaction of winning. But how can I be happy when I get 600 literature when I know I need 900 more after that? It's silly.

(so does medal grinding though , not as bad as other ET games TBF)
