I was sure that was Ludwig voting in his own quiz, but nope. YOU BETTER TAKE IT! No medieval age without it.

I went with the Zweihander, because its the closest to the Scottish Claymore.
I was going to further say that I can't yield a Zweihander, but then I remembered that these swords were lighter than we think. Could I use it repeatedly, and in a battle? NO.
German Mercenary GreatSwords FTW!

I had worked almost 2 years at FedEx Ground Shipping, and by the time a year had passed, I could easily hoist a 150 lb full-length carpet roll onto my shoulder and toss it into a truck. It's like exercising but getting PAID to work out. (the pay is terrible though) So with that in mind, I choose the halberd. Ot has a very effective long reach and can cut into a swordsman before he could touch me.

I have very agile fingers, but that's about it. I've been lifting recently, but still not exactly ripped

Hence the mention of the long reach advantage. A reasonably well-trained soldier armed with a halberd would make mincemeat out of an equally trained swordsman. Unfortunately, it's too OP in a wargame, so spearmen (such as pikes, halberds, glaive, etc) are made to be weak against short-range infantry units but strong against mounted units.

Infantry were historically a good counter to polearm infantry. More accurately, though, ranged units (specifically, archers) were the most used counters.

The gingivitis is an extremely effective weapon against... everybody actually. Advantageous indeed.
