Kiddo... Listen and listen real good... Trivial knowledge such as precise facts serve no purpose without a practical application. True understanding is what a student will effectively learn more. Principles, not just factoids. I've taught kids for some time now and I don't limit my tutoring to just one estroic field of study. I tutor all the way from biochem to US history, from Microeconomics to thermodynamics or even programming, that kind of stuff. Will you teach me? I'm pretty sure I'm currently a lot dumber than everyone else (true but funny). I thought that I would be able to learn as I modded, but didn't seem to work that way. Oh btw for Gekokujo fans out there, did you here that the developer sort of "quit"? He released his source code for version 3.1 I think. I know for sure that he already released 3.0 source code. Now it's up for the Sugoroku team to....I guess continue it? Sugoroku with Gekokujo is amazing. Adds so much more... I think thats actually good for gekokujo. It allows more time for player feedback.

You're capable of learning. It just takes time and right kind of guidance. While it is true that most people in the technology sector are self-taught to a degree or other, but that kind of self-sufficient studying require enough understanding of things outside technology (such as the ability to read) and received education from somewhere else or someone else. You can learn how to mod as you continue to try your best and ask plenty of questions, even asking for information to be made available in a more clear style. Our knowledge is more useful when we share it and let others benefit from it than just keeping it to ourselves or just bragging in jargon babbling for the purpose of showing how smart we are.

Would you recommend any tutorials or sites I can use to learn? Or at least know where I can practice? Or am I supposed to trial and error?

WC3 maps are very similar, so you can change borders there using the same techniques he shows.
