The Jews makes the Scots looks like quitters by sheer comparison. I have respect for the Jew. They just don't quit.

I also have much respect for the Jewish people. They didn't always fight, but when they didn't they survived anyway.
the Jewish-Roman wars alone easily rival Scotland, though Scotland didn't quit in the end. (Didn't lose so many to be fair, even though lost very many over the years)
Scotland did not have to watch dozen plus conquerors come and go though. It resisted every single one, including Rome. (Counting pre-Scottish Scotland)
Well, England absorbed Scotland in the end, but that was a Union born out of silly economics or something. The later Scottish rebellion failed, but that was Scot vs England and Scot. (More support than earlier wars)
Almost became independent in the end, but election went the other way. (Fact, not political discussion pls)
