But....they are superior to people.... So thinks everybody who uses the *X group are people too* statement without irony or sarcasm. In my experience IRL and from what Ive heard, many animal rights activists believe non-human animals to be superior. Seriously......I was joking by the way....I'm not saying animals don't have rights or anthing like that but come on...they are simply not as evolved as us and thats a matter of science...some people baffle me.

Ok. IMO they can have the rights people have, to some extent deserve such, but to say that they are "people too" is another story. Also, Evolution from my understanding does not consider animals without our positive traits to be backwards or primitive. If it was actually better for us to be dumb or ugly (by our standards), it would happen. Dumbness is a bad analogy though, since its hard to imagine losing intelligence to have a good impact on our survival. If you are comparing lacking bones and multiple cells however, I'd agree we are less primitive. However, an animal which has been changing for as long as us, is not exactly less evolved-its simply done much less with the time given. When I was at a philosophy group, and ever since then, I have this to say about humans vs animals. I consider Humans to be the most intelligent animal on the planet, but also have the greatest capacity for stupidity.

But waffles have a sanctity of their own. Are you saying that waffles are bad, too? I haven't had waffles many times but chickens sanctity is far more important than that of simple waffles. ...Why haven't you had waffles much? What do they feed you in Australia?

It turns out the cat lovers group is also well represented πΆππ© πΊπ±π I'm actually a dog person but I'm an university student pursuing a second degree and my wife works a full-time job, so it would be cruel to a dog to wait for its owners all day by itself. We decided on a cat instead. This is my first time owning a cat in my life.
