Basic barebone, quick turn of 1902 for Frederick the Great : 4 new subs, 4 new battlecrusiers completed. Adding new construction orders... 12 more subs, 6 battlecrusiers, 4 dreadnoughts, and a number of smaller ships for next year. The shipyards should be big enough to handle all of those purchases by the Royal Navy. As Laurent de Gouvion has said, there is a merger proceeding in this year between the two oil companies, a possible name: British-Russian Petroleum Company (Britansko-rossiyskaya neftyanaya kompaniya). Establish an British administration friendly to the natives to handle the new Southern China colony (possibly elevate to a Dominion next year in 1903), insist that English is now the new official language for all of South China/Indochina. With the improved British Army corps in place for the Boers War... An attack is attempted to push them out of their hideouts in the bush. The difficulty of success is still considerable in the rough terrain even with the improvement in leadership, so will need 8 or better instead of a 7. khRUn29CRolling a... 9! Success! Okay, the Brits continue to chase the Boer Commandos to their fortified strongholds in the villages nearby, trying to capture alive but dead enemy combatants are acceptable. The Spaniards have declined our proposal. War is declared.
The 2nd C-S-V-B-H army,2nd Czechoslovakian army and 1st Austrian army are mobilised. The merchant fleet of our empire will transport the men equipment and supplies for no taxes on their goods for 10 years.
The army set sails from Trieste. They are protected by 4 armoured cruisers, 6 light cruisers and 12 destroyers under the command of admiral Miklos Horthy.
Landing at Mallorca
The navy of Spain stood at 2 dreadnoughts, 1 pre dreadnought, 6 cruisers and 7 destroyers in 1914. So I guess Spain would have 1 pre dreadnought, 5 cruisers and 6 destroyers as of now?
Assuming my numbers are accurate, 3 cruisers and 4 destroyers try to stop the mighty KuK navy.
A 4 for me to win the battle.

Ottoman Empire declares war on Spain. Will do the Invasion of Spanish Morocco here.
We have 300000 men as regulars and 100000 in reserve.
The Navy has 5 torpedo boats, 10 destroyers, 4 cruisers and two dreadnoughts.

In the first half of 1902, 15 newly created destroyers running on powerful turbines and holding a larger cache of torpedo tubes are launched into the bay of Taranto. The King has issued a message publicly (already prepared to issue this in 1901): "Italy warns the Balkan nations that he might not be able to stand by and do nothing while a war erupts only 217 miles off the Italian coasts. It also may be necessary for Italy to step in and assist in promoting peace and stability by eliminating the unwanted provocation coming from Belgrade to vouchsafe the greater good for the Balkans as a whole. The plight of suffering of citizens and non-citizens in the war-torn Serbia does not escape the attention of His Royal Highness. Second part of 1902 for Italy Incorporating the newly reunited provinces of Savoy and Corsica, new mayors and ministers are appointed. For the treacherous previously serving mayors and other government servants, the way they had resisted reunification in a referendum, each one of them are fired and their records marked with shame for the rest of their insignificant lives. However, their lives are spared and King Victor Emmanuel III permits them to seek employment in either Italy or return to France in complete freedom because he's feeling merciful. Tunisia is established as a renewed Italian colony with its headquarters in Tunis, naturally. Where else it should be but Tunis? Djibouti has its own administration now, handling the special case of processing the transfer of power from French to Italian. More food is sent to Turkey, and Italians wonders if @khurramzafar stuffs his face with all of this food. (this one is free in accordance to the treaty, already paid for by the prepared future administration department of Mozambique). This turns into wild rumors published in Italian newspapers. People in every city is discussing the news from Istanbul that someone allegedly saw the sultan hosting massive feasts. The Italian Petroleum Management Company begans extraction of oil from Sirte, Libya. 15 more destroyers are launched in this half of 1902. Even more importantly, the inauguration of the Dreadnought era begins for the Regina Marina by the launching of the Dante Alighieri, the first battleship built with her main armament in triple-gun turrets, and the first Dreadnought class battleship for the Regina Marina. More ships of the same design found in the Dante class are ordered. 4 dreadnoughts are prepared to be completed by next year. Also, 30 more large, modernized destroyers are called for next year as well. For now, the lone Dante class battleship is sent with an escort of 10 older crusiers to settle the claim for Mozambique and see to it that it is carried out in due proper order. TR authorises the Bureau of the Census, meaning that we should be able to declare our population size and GDP soon.
5 Virginia-class BBs are being built (TBD 1904), and research is being put into the next class of BBs, the Connecticut-class.
Some guy called Nathan Stubblefield is found to be researching wireless telephones.
Some other guy called Samuel Langley is found to be repeatedly crashing his gliders in order to try and fly.
The coal strike of 1902 happens, with unions wanting recognition, more control over the company, and 8h days. TR helps negotiate a 'square deal' for the union workers, while still managing to placate the mine owners.
The US sends troops to crush the ongoing Philippine revolt. A 7 or more is needed to crush the insurgents.

Ottomans organizing the territories just occupied or claimed;

Still need a seven Morrocan resistance is strong. But we will be back! 600 died. The remaining board the ships and move to take over the Canary Islands.
Battle of the Canaries; The men don't have much experience in fighting on islands, but we will try and see what happens. We have 148000 men as of now. 25000 men face an unknown number of Spanish troops here. The Navy is ordered to fire. Need an eight. 100 men died. However they 24900 soon meet 25100 more troops. The total is now 50000. Need a seven. 300 men died but the Admiral is ferocious seeing the Spanish resistence. He orders the entire Force of 147600 men to disembark and storm the island while naval cover is provided. Need a five. After a bitter fight the Spanish surrender. 200 men died. 7400 are left to garrison the islands until reinforcements arrive.
The Navy gathers supplies from the island and on board the 140000 moves to take over Cape Verde. A shot is fired to warn the people in a way we saw the Italians do ( Desophaeus ). Need a six for them to accept Ottoman Rule. 1000 men are deployed to garrison the islands until reinforcements arrive.
The Squadron continues now to The Gambia, the tactic used in Cape Verde is used here as well. Need a six 1000 men are dropped in the country, will be replaced later with a bigger force. 139000 soldiers continue the journey. Supplies are picked.
The Squadron moves to Guinea-Bissau now. Using the previous tactic. Need a seven as this is a relatively bigger country/province. 2000 men are dropped. Forgot to mention that all of t he Portuguese, Spanish and British officers (military personnel or not) that we have encountered so far and are alive (in case of the Spanish) are on board with us. They will be later sent to their countries ( Imperial RomeBall , Frederick the Great , Yi Sun Sin )
137000 men continue to Sao Tome and Principe. Same tactic, need a seven. 1000 more men are dropped. The Portuguese are picked up. Supplies are picked as well.
The last area to be taken is in sight, Spanish Guinea. Need a seven. 1000 more men are dropped. The Spanish are picked up. All of the areas are brought under control except for Morroco (which I will do next year). 135000 men reach home safely. The Spanish and Portuguese are dropped in their countries, the British are dropped in Cairo. Everything else is good.

Germany 1902Seeing that many other countries have advanced with their navies, the German government orders a big update in German navy production facilities, and for the first dreadnought to be finished by 1904. In the meantime, 3 tankers are ordered for next year.
600,000 more guns are shipped to the Ottoman Empire.
Russian and German troops participate in a joint military exercise, to test their armies' readiness for war.
Another 25,000 troops are sent to German Congo, and 25,000 more are drafted to fill their place in Germany.
After the return of Alsace-Lorraine by the French government, the German government gives the French population full rights as ethnic Germans, and bans any unfair military or police action on penalty of death (just to make sure nothing happens like LAST TIME). |

Brazil 1902
Viva o Império do Brasil!
Following the sudden shift in attitude (almost as if a new man took the helm of the nation), Rodrigues Alves decides to actually do something with the South American nation of Brasil.
The entire active Brazilian military lines the Argentine border, with a single division of Artillery for support. (Couldn't find military counts for 1902, but closest I could find was 350,000 (rounded down) in 1897.) Reserves are to be garrisoned in cities and stationed at other borders.
Military advisors from all nations are requested to assist in the development d the Brazilian Armed Forces.
Loans are requested from any willing nation to build the economy. Until Brasil is industrialized, cash crops such as tobacco, molasses, and sugarcane are to be mass produced.

KINGDOM OF MACEDON
Upon this year, a great event happened. Thanks to diplomacy with the Ottoman Grand Vizier, the Province of Macedonia, minus the northern colonies, is finally entering the Greek Kingdom.
March 29th is declared Unity Day. Plans are made for increasing the railways from the Epirus border to Thessaloniki, which is declared the Co-Capital of Greece, as it was in the Byzantine times.
The King of Greece as a publicity "stunt" visits the ruins of Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great. The Ethnarch in Athens gives a speech.
"Today is a great day for our Kingdom. The sons of Greece have shed their blood for freedom, and would gladly do so again. But in this masterpiece of Diplomacy, a great unification has been achieved without loss. We grow stronger without bloodshed. Our Nation will be the greater for it"
Reforms in Greece continue. Industrial factories are planned in the cities of Patras, Thessaloniki, and Athens. Something Something Sparta.
Tonnage of Greek merchant navy is 330,000.
Plans are made for the 2 largest minorities in Greece to be British and Romanian. Quotas are 100,000+ Romanians and 50,000+ British. The Greek Prime minister is unavailable for comment on the large Turkish minority. It be treated good tho.
Military
Plans are made for the Greek army to increase from 200,000 men to 300,000 by 1903. Rebels in Macedonia are given amnesty if they join the New Macedonian units. Bulgarian rebels are allowed to apply for citizenship, or can be shuttled to Bulgaria with up to 5 dollars in their pockets.
Greece purchases 1 Dreadnought from the British. It is named Minoan. It begins building another Dreadnought in Sevastopol. The 4 Thyella class Destroyers arrive and are commissioned in the greek Navy. at least 8 more destroyers are planned for next year, and the Greek navy looks into an Armoured cruiser.
6 Torpedo boats are also built, one for each of the major regions in Greece. Peloponnese, Attica, Epirus, Thessaly, Macedonia, Crete.
Under the leadership of a Romantic British naval officer, tactics are drawn up for the 5 Pre-Dreadnought Battleships. The main goal is to fight off Dreadnoughts, and strategies for offensive conduct. Russian naval officers from the Baltic might be contacted on this issue as well. The Pre-Dreads thus become 1st Battleship Squadron.

Thee Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine is implemented, which states that the United States will intervene in conflicts between European countries and Latin American countries to enforce legitimate claims of the European powers, rather than having the Europeans press their claims directly.
