The battle of Karansebes was a hilarious battle between Austria and Austria, with the winner being Austria. The amazing commander Joseph II led his valiant army against the evil himselfs army. Mistaken for ottoman troops, Joseph II was attacked by his own army and sent infantry and winged hussars to assault his own army. 10,000 people died.
The Ottoman army later arrived finding tens of thousands people dead. They left without fighting.

From what I read, the battle went like this:
1. Austrian Hussars got really drunk on Schnapps
2. Austrian Infantry wanted in on the Schnapps
3. Drunk Hussars built a fort around the Schnapps
4. Infantry yelled "Turk" at the Hussars
5. They all fled in chaos
6. Austrian corps commander thought the fleeing drunk Hussars were Turkish cavalry and shot at them
7. The Austrian army retreated from the non-existent Turks

As I mentioned long ago in the important wars thread, Spain and particularly Portugal owe their existence to the Arab conquests. They fought for over 800 years to liberate Iberia. Well, the Mamlukes of the French Imperial guard are ordered to charge and disperse rioting Spaniards. Mistaking the Mamlukes for Moors (ancient invaders) the Spaniards get even more angry and a giant battle breaks out between Peasants with knives and the French. Lol, when the war was over the King did not like Francisco Goya's Paintings of the uprising, since it depicted nearly unarmed peasants as the heroes.
