You've been missing out... you aren't missing anything Bismarck Jr, it's another abomination Actually, it's a highly variable food that is pretty different from a home to a home or a restaurant even. It's a very popular and versatile food staple in America. Even The Spanish Inquisition has eaten some and probably has a preference for a certain style or whatnot.

Just a little less cheese I prefer more cheese, and less milky flavor. You probably have tasted Cracker Barrel's Mac & Cheese, have you? It's a very milky tasting version and most restaurants that serves M&C tends to lean towards that style. I don't. So I make my own rather than eat it over there.
