FYI I'll by joining this soon albeit in a less involved fashion in the from of Britian/Canada. I may possibly become involved in the war though won't have much involvement. I have spoken to da boss, Bismarck Jr about this and he is ok. And yet when I asked him about playing Canada, as was a possibility at the beginning, I got no response... bro I asked him to play as California and got no reply. But I still joined in.

António Salazar , Sir, I need your help in moving all posts that are not turns back to the game thread. Shall thy assist us?
Now, it's time for California 1861: We aren't leaving the Union. Much to the relief of the Abolitionists. The country is mostly free of slaves however in South California there are still some people who have slaves. They will be "dealt with" accordingly. Three battalions of cavalry (6000 men) and two divisions of infantry are drafted (40000 men). They are posted along the border. The state has 380000 people living within its borders. However discluding soldiers the number shrinks to 334000. We declare war on the Confederacy. "Anyone who leaves the Union is our enemy and will not be reconciled with until they have been defeated" says the Governor of California. 15000 men are ordered to take the state of Arizona before the Confeds get it's hands on it. Battle of Phoenix, Arizona; I'm guessing around 3000/4000 enemy militia is stationed here (as there are no active troops because it's an NPC). I guess a seven will be more than enough to take Phoenix. GQnRGeni300 died, clear victory, city secured. The next stop is Tucson, AZ. 14700 Union men vs ~4000 Confed militia. 7 is enough. Woah! Union Army is humbled here, 2700 men lost. 12000 men try once more, 6 needed. Resistance has been wiped out, however we lost 5000 men in total during the campaign. 30000 infantry and 6000 cavalry are spread to defend the two states. I shall

10-15 would be more reasonable, I think. Even thats a big number, especially since the war isn't full scale yet and Ironclads are new things. Nope the british invented them a decade back.

Everything should be decided by dice rolls without prior percentages.
You decide who has the upper hand, how bad it is, and if you are far out of line somebody will tell you.

While I encourage you to try it out, Anyone is free to leave at any time. Ok well Im confused about this whole tech thing so if its ok with you Bismarck Jr , Ill give some ideas. While you may write out a story about how your state got the technology, you don't use "turns" or tech trees, etc... this is a RP (role-play) which is more literature/writing-based than codified number systems. TWs (theorical wars) are games very similar to the Alt-Hist RPs, and uses a numerical-based system very much same as what you suggested. Polenbal, just imagine this as writing a book a short story at a time. It's up to you if you wish to withdraw or not. If it's about struggling with city names etc, you definitely can find the information on the American Civil War in many good websites or even just getting started with the basics by using Wikipedia.
Ofc, up to you guys Wilhuff Tarkin, Polenbal, if you like to play this or not. Just let you know about this.
