Especially in the lead-up to and during 1975 conquest, there are a lot of errors that can be made that could be very costly. What are your worst? Mine: - Upgrades Panzer tech to level 9 cuz I can. - Leaves Arty tech at level 5 while playing serious 1975 USSR conquest. - Upgrades Infantry tech to level 6 - Unlocks Anti-Matter bomb cuz I can. - Unlocks MRB missile cuz I can (oops, not a mistake when I nuked Havana from New York) - Creates Infantry UK EC and puts him into commando. - Leaves all EC speciality stars at 2 and Air-Navy at 2 while my Russian EC Air-Navy is at 3 - Has only 3 skills for EC. - Play 1975 with Govorov, Guderian and EC only. - Become too defensive in phase 1 and phase 2 of 1975. - Leaves Supply tech at lvl 3 and Forts tech at lvl 4. - Send my officers on suicide attacks (at least Russian EC, Govorov and Guderian lived on) - Send infantry to delay Aliens in Central Asia region.

During my first 1975 conquest I built mainly infantry to fight the aliens. Needless to say it was a waste of money buying infantry and I decided to restart after reading to use artillery

In fact all this is not so bad:
- Upgrades Infantry tech to level 6
Not worst solution to spend resources, as you will use PMI quite a lot.
- Unlocks Anti-Matter bomb cuz I can.
Not only, for conquests you don't need anything but atomic bomb. Other bombs are needed just to get them as starting bonus in campaigns where it is possible.
- Unlocks MRB missile cuz I can (oops, not a mistake when I nuked Havana from New York)
Right, MRB is worth to have.
- Creates Infantry UK EC and puts him into commando.
Creating infantry EC is a biggest mistake which could be done.
- Leaves all EC speciality stars at 2 and Air-Navy at 2 while my Russian EC Air-Navy is at 3
Not so bad, but 3 is a bit better.
- Has only 3 skills for EC.
If they are plain, explosives and supply and not higher than lv3, this is not a big mistake.
- Play 1975 with Govorov, Guderian and EC only.
Why not. I'm planning to clear 1975 with 3 bad quality ECs only.
- Leaves Supply tech at lvl 3 and Forts tech at lvl 4.
The best solution for forts is to leave at lv0.

Not definitely mistake, against aliens all you have to do is to get enough high income and nuke factories to proceed with nukes. Sure, in most cases that can be done saving some gens for further defence.
