In other news, I now find the Windows XP memes funny. Maybe I've traveled down a few too many rabbit holes on YouTube...

Ah yes, the Windows XP system. My Windows XP system was better than the current Windows 10 system I am using. Maybe it's because Google hasn't been downloaded yet (using a guest account instead of an admin account). Or maybe I have less torlerance since the 10 is supposed to BE better.

Dunkirk was boring. No fighting at all, just waves, boats, beaches, and more boats. Which I guess is historically accurate, but hey put a damn Terminator on the beach if it's gonna entertain me.

There are probably some folks who missed this rendition of my profile wait? You're saying that there are some who don't know you as Moshe Dayan? Well it is true, we get new people every now and then

I'm staying as Dom Pedro until the end of the next RP. Why? Because he's awesome. That's why.
After the RP though, returning to good ol' Sherman.

I'm sure plenty of people enjoyed it (I myself have yet to see it) and appreciated a film more about the story of what happened then just lots of gore and shooting. It is my understanding that the film is largely about the brave British civilians who risked (and many lost) their lives to save thousands of British and French soldiers which really is an amazing tale that definetly deserves a movie. Also, yay Moshe is back, The Spanish Inquisition. I always liked that profile of yours, though I thought you banned yourself from using it?

I forbade account Jean-Luc Picard, in his/my capacity as Global Moderator, from using it. As a member, I do not think my use of it will be problematic

Also, yay Moshe is back, The Spanish Inquisition . I always liked that profile of yours, though I thought you banned yourself from using it? I saw it today. Im not going to talk too much about it as you clearly want to see it, but I will say that it focuses surprisingly little on the civilian aspect. Most of it is in regards to the soldiers and pilots. This is for those who have seen it: The opening scene was great. The visuals, the music, everything. I also liked how it shows the French being the ones to hold the Germans off while the British evacuated. Showed their sacrifice which I liked. I also like the plot point of the French soldier killing the British one to disguise as one to be able to evacuate. The ending was also great, same reasons as the opening only adding the "We shall never surrender" speech.
But I never really connected to the characters. In movies like Saving Private Ryan and Hacksaw Ridge, I connected to the characters. I knew what was at stake if these guys died. In Saving Private Ryan, Mrs. Ryan would have lost all her sons for example. In this movie, there's too little dialogue and too Little character development.
All in all, not the best, but it's definitely not bad. Just not one of the best War movies in my opinion.
