Thought this could be something interesting to start up, and update as the year progresses. All opinions/comments are welcome
Recently saw Guardians of the Galaxy two, which was pretty good. Also have been wanting to see Logan, which looked really good. Not really looking forward to the new Star Wars tbh, as I didn't care for the last one all that much.

The Fate of the Furious was the best movie so far this year, IMHO.

Ew, Fast and the Furious. If you want a franchise that's out of ideas, look no further!
Logan was a great movie. That King Kong one wasn't that good. Get Out was my favorite one. That's about all I've seen so far.

I quite liked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I'm holding out hope that the next Star Wars will be good but I'm not expecting it to be. Kylo Ren sucks, he's just like a whiny teenager with a lightsabre not a badass like Vader. I haven't seen Logan unfortunately. I did see the latest Fast a Furious (I've only seen a handful of those movies. There is just to many of them) and it was ok but really over the top and full of theatrics. I agree with Mountbatten that its a franchise out of ideas. Honestly I don't see how they made so many movies. [sarcasam]I am looking forward the Emoji movie though. Its such a great idea and looks like it will be really good.[/sarcasam] |

Kylo Ren's face reveal was soooo anticlimactic. Everybody in the theater was tense while he took off his mask. Then after he got it all the way off, we were just staring. I swear I heard someone say "What?"

I certainly hope that Star Wars 8 (coming out soon this month I think...) will be at least more interesting. I felt like Mark Hamill got a raw deal in the 7th movie with a badly set up scene, bumping into a stranger instead of Carrie Fisher.  "I don't know whoever you think you are, young lady, but you're interrupting my mediation. Go away."  They should have gave him that line lol. |

Ohhhh. I thought it was Rey that went to the island though. I mean IF Princess Leia came to the island, it would have been a better way. But instead, we have Rey, and poor Luke doesn't get a good line like "Go away, snotty little girl." or whatever. |
