I thought the upgrades were universal. I spend all my stars on Imperial Eagle (facepalm) That was my biggest mistake as well. I remember when I aced almost everything in Imerpial Campaign and then in the HRE campaign is was like "Where are my troop upgrades?" I looked like an idiot in front of my whole class. First world problems, I know

Ok so just messed up one of my own rules - I finished the American campaign too early and didn't get the royal emblem! I thought I had done enough with virtually all 3 or 4 stars (one 2 star, which was a bonus mission, and one 5 star also). Is this normal or have I royally screwed myself over?? Please someone tell me that you can get one for sun never sets, I don't want to spend 900 odd medals on Ney

If you can beat Sun Never Sets, then you don't need Ney. Any conquest will be possible.

But yes you do get an emblem I think. But good luck getting a high amount of stars.

I ended up taking the plunge and sold some items to buy Ney!
I felt like I couldn't really wait, I was relying on the emblem to get him for cheap. I made a plan a while ago that my final generals will be Victoria, Lan, Ney, Isabela and Sophia. Currently, I have Buxhoeveden (125/8), Perignon (125/7),Isabela (125/8) and Sophia (74/4). I don't think I can ace the final campaign without Lan and Victoria (to get the emblem) and I don't think I can get them without Ney, hence why I just spent them medals. Maybe I'll just spend spare emblems on a 6th general (after all the rest have been trainered up ofc) or an expensive trainer to use until Lan and Victoria get here.
Btw what do people know about the percentage of stars needed for the emblems? I got 35 out of 55 (67%).

For the 6th general you should get Kate. Sun Never Sets will be literally impossible without a naval general, and even with one it will still be hard

That will most likely be true im sure. However, isn't Victoria a good navy general too?

I don't know I don't have Victoria. I thought she was infantry. But that 6th slot should be Kate. She is just about the best naval general in the game for free

British campaign has a lot of missions that require (or at least good to have) navy so Kate is surely a handy general. I normally have Kate as my 7th general for naval purpose. For Victoria, she has 4 stars in navy, Assault Art, and Defense Art (the other skills are Mass Fire and Bugle) so this makes her a fine navy general. Though, I finished the campaign without her. To avoid the spoil, I will just say that you will need a good business general at some point.
Anyway, if you want Lan and Victoria before the campaign, I think it is possible to get them with your current generals. I used Sakurako, Sophia, and Isabela to get Lan, and Lan, Ney, and Isabela to get Victoria.
Your 5 final generals are the same as mine. I have Dobeln as the sixth.

Yeah thats what I thought about Victoria (I was mainly looking at the stars though). I was hoping to keep one slot free for trainer generals regrouping, hence only the final five generals.
I already have Isabela 5* trained up for business, but do you mean someone to make money in cities?

No you will just need a trade general with 5 stars for trading areas.
