What is a campaign?
in the first tab you see the campaings. the campaigns are levels that you have to complete to unlock the next campaign.
in a campaign you play with a country like Soviet Union or Germany. you have 2 series at the beginning: Axis and Allies (10 levels).
when you complete those you get WTO and Nato (6 levels). afterwards you get the Union (9 levels).
The goal in campaigns is to maintain all blue objectives and to obtain all Red objectives. when you lost all your blue cities. you automaticely lose:
Example 1:
As you can see the city of "Bangkok" got a blue cirlce beneath it (hard to see) and New Delhi and the english 2-town got a red circle beneath it.
so the goal in this campaign is to maintain Bangkok and to Conquer New Delhi and the English 2-town.
Example 2:
How to gain gold and iron in battle?
You need gold to recruit infantry, artillery and tanks, perform air strikes, to develop nukes and to launch missiles. You solely need iron to recruit infantry (except light infantry), artillery and tanks, develop nukes and to launch missiles.
You gain gold from cities, villages and harbours. You gain iron from cities and harbours.
You also gain gold and iron through the following wonders:
Hanging Gardens: 10 gold/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102881/thread
Himeji Castle: 20 gold/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102882/thread
Forbidden City: 30 gold/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102359/thread
Kremlin: 10 steel/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102889/thread
Alhambra: 20 steel/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102349/thread
Winter Palace: 20 steel/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102948/thread
When your general has either the skill "industrial expert" or "economic expert" and they're inside a steel or money production area, you gain more money/steel from that area.
the total amount of money is shown at the top, as you can see I have 400 money and 300 industry right now.
Berlin provides 80 Gold and 36 steel per round. How to recruit troops?
you have to complete them to unlock the next challenges. there a 45 challenges in total of 5 categories!
you have to unlock the 1 one of each categorie by leveling up your HQ to a certain level.
you don't have to have a HQ level to gain acces to all challenes.
the 5 categories are:
1. break through encirclement
2. Rescue The Ally
3. Accumalate Supplies
4. Hold The Ground
5. Wipe out the enemy
the explenations of the categories.
1. Break through Encirclement.
In Break through the Encirlcement it is the target to posses the target in Red.
Strategy: Only focus on the targets, you got less troops than the enemy so gather everything you have and only strike the targets, you only loose troops when you strike the other things.
2. Rescue the Ally
In Resue the ally the goal is to rescue the ally shown with the Blue circle beneath it.
Strategy: Try to wipe out as much as you can, so as less as possible troops of the enemy attacks your ally
3. Acucumalate Supplies:
in Accumulate supplies it's the goal to posses the supplies shown in the circle.
Strategy: only move troops when necessary, it costs fuel to move them so don't move them when it isn't necesary.
also wonders (explanation later) can provide a lot for this type of challenge.
4. Hold the ground
in hold the ground you have to posses the city with the blue line underneath at all times.
Strategy: try to save up some money so you can always spam a troop inside the city. also use your generals on troops on the city.
5. Wipe out the Enemy
in wipe out the enemy, the goal is to wipe out every enemy troop with a red line underneath them.
Strategy: don't pay attention to troops without a red line beneat them, they aren't worth your time. What is a conquest?
Conquests is a gamemode of this game. The goal is to conquer the world.
In conquest you control one country, the green countries are your allies, they help you in battle, red ones are your enemies, and gray one's are neutral.
There are 5 different conquest in the game, 1939, 1943, 1950, 1960 and 1975/?, They all unlock when the time right above hits 1 januari of their respected years.
For basic strategies you can hover to the other tips inside this tutorial tab, if you want help for a specific country, you can go to the conquest part above and press on the guide related to that country. How to build and launch missiles?
i'm going to answerr the following questions:
How to Build Nukes?
you have to select a city with the yellow-black sign on it.
inside that city, you got a tab with that symbol on it. when you open it. you'll see three kinds of bombs. An atomic, Hydrogen and Antimatter Bomb.
the cost to make them are shown beneath the name of the bomb. when you click on the red symbol you start creating one. this will take some turns.
for an atomic bomb it takes 2 turns, for a hydrogen 3 turns and for an antimatter 4 turns. you can only make one nuke at the time in a place (if you got more places you can make more nukes)
in the right corner of it you see the damage the bomb will ad up to the missile.
the first number, in this case 450. will damage on the target you make. the second number, in this case 60, will damage on all troops in one range of your target. including your troops
the third number, in this case 45, will damage to all troops in a two range of your target. including your troops
How to launch nukes
when your nuke is ready you can put him into a rocket or into a strategic bomber. if you do that, the number of attack drasticly increases. as you can see the damage before the nuke is 60-70, and the damage after you put the nuke in is 460-470.
But how do you do that? first you have to go into the rocket section of a city. so you have to ensure that your city got a 3-airfield or a rocket symbol, otherwise you cannot launch nukes from that city. you have to click on the yellow thing. after that you see the numbers of atoms you got. select one and he's put into the rocket.
how to unlock more types of rockets and nukes?
you will see that you don't got all types of rockets and nukes in the beginning. you have to upgrade your technology to unlock the newer ones, to unlock more bombs you have to upgrade your bomb technology and to unlock more missiles you have to upgrade your missile technology. You can view exactly what you unlock in the headquarter part of this list, where all technologies are listed. How to use air support efficiently?
I took all this information from António Salazar , so huge shoutout to him for sharing this!
1 Fighters
Fighters are very useful when you have to take out (several groups) infantry. However fighters are not well against tanks etc. The best way to use fighters is only on infantry, sometimes artillery, and low tier cities or cities with low health. (see pic 1)
2 Bombers
Bombers must be used wisely. City hopping with bombers is expensive and not smart. Never Never Never use bombers on infantry not guarded by airdefence!!! Bombers are however extremely useful against armored vehicles and navy. Taking out the last health of a city can be done with bombers but in most cases fighters are better for the job.
3 Strategic Bombers
These things are extremely useful against cities since it almost ignores airdefence. It does very high damage against cityhealth (around 40-50 damage, see picture). Strategic bombers can be used on troops but it is wise to only use them against Super Tanks.
4 Atomic Bombs
Useful against capitals and big cities. Also common used on carriers, super tanks and high generals. Hydrogen and Antimatterbombs are also common used as 'swiper' to kill hordes of troops in an area since they both have splash damage.
5 Airforce generals
Highly improving air and missile attack and . Not recommended for players who have just begun.
6 Missiles
Most times used as transport for nuclear weps. Useful to attack strong navy and troops. Is able to attack cities but strategic bomber is better against cities. Damage can only be reduced by anti-missile and shelter expert.
7 Paratroopers
Drops infantry in radius of maximum 6 hexes away from the airfield (can be upgraded). Common used as expedition troops to take out remaining cities (see picture) or quickly send support to the frontier.(see pic) Infantry level (light-assault-motorized-commando) can be upgraded in the tech tree. Most people stop their upgrade when they have reached the motorized, since it is a all-around troop (versatile), high movement, high city attack. However after upgrading to commando you have the ability to 'jump' 9 hexes away from the airport. City hopping : take out the city health as seen in the first picture of the post, this can be with a strategic bomber or atomic bomb. The finishing touch is done by the fighter. Then drop a paratrooper in it, and POOF you have your city. Be aware that the other countries are also city hopping and you must get their airfields neutralized as soon as possible.
What is oil?
Oil is a currency inside this game. It is used for air strikes and to move troops outside from commandos, light infantry and assault infantry.
Troops recuire oil to move from one place to another, how much they use is shown when pressing the i button on troops. They consume that much oil regardless of how many spaces the troop moves, however when the troop doesn't move, he doesn't consume oil.
Air strikes also consumes oil to perform.
You get oil from oilfields, there are 3 types of oilfields:
small ones that gives you +20
big ones that gives you +40
sea ones that gives you +50
You can also get oil from the following wonders:
Potala palace +10/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102932/thread
Petra +20/round: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102928/thread
The Sea City: european-war-4.boards.net/post/102947/thread
You also gain additional oil when a general with oil expert stands on an oil producing area,
you gain +5/+10/+15/+20% oil from that area when a general is placed on an oil producing area.
Meaning that a general with oil expert lvl3 which is standing on a sea-oilfield gains an additional 50*0,15=8 oil every round.

you also see a general with a blue line:
When A general has a blue line beneath it means that you got to have at least 1 other city with a blue line beneath it. so you got to have an obiective before he dies.
Goal:
So the goal is to conquer Changchun and The Japanese citie at the top and if your allies lost their city with the blue cirlce beneath it you have to conquer it.
you also have lost when the Russian General dies before you got at least 1 objective.

Troops consume gold and steel.
As you can see it opens on the Infantery tab, but when you look at the top you see multiple tabs:
Infantery-Tank-Artillery-Air-Missile-Nuclear
Some cities don't provide that all.
As you can see Warsaw has a lot less things available than Minsk, but a lot more available than the german city in east Prussia.
The first icon is the city. it can have value 1 till 6, but 6 is shown as a star (like Warsaw).
The second icon is Industry. It can have value 1 till 4
The third is Air. It can have value 1 till 3

when the city level is 2 you can provide light infantery and assault infantery etc...
The city also provides you HP. When a troop of yours is hurt. it can shelter in the city. you get a certain amount of HP per Round.
This amount is decided by your Supply level (which I shall explain later)

Strategy 1: Surrounding.
When you surround a troop their moral will drop, when you surround them on 2 sides they deal 5 less damage, when you fully surround them they deal 10 less damage. Your own troops don't deal more damage to the enemy.
Strategy 2: Efficient troop use
Use your troops efficently, attack first with infantery and afterwards with tanks, tanks can move again after they destroyed something so you can use them "twice" in only 1 turn. or take that city inmediately when destroyed.
when you don't have a tank nearby just attack with the strongest troops first, so your weaker one can walk in the city.
Also use commandos or assault infantery to go on mines, they deal 80% damage less on mines. a fully list of the every troops and the skills can be found here:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1C7BV9Fw_LLiQ1QkvfeTU7PEBM-yl1kuTGlkIQmp5XtY/edit?usp=sharing
Strategy 3: Range Troop use
Some troops has the ability to launch ranged attacks. so you can attack unranged targets with them while they don't get any damage. But most of the ranged troops don't have much health, so don't let the enemy come to these weapons.
Strategy 4: Use naval support
Naval troops are way stronger than "common" troops, so use them because of that to forfill strikes.
Strategy 5: Use air strikes.
Only use this tactic when you got a lot of money, you can have as much of air-strikes to a city as you want, so if you just air-strike them untill your able to conquer the city, you can paradrop the city after it.
Read the How to use air strikes efficiently part of the tutorial to gain more detailed information about this.

you have to complete them to unlock the next challenges. there a 45 challenges in total of 5 categories!
you have to unlock the 1 one of each categorie by leveling up your HQ to a certain level.
you don't have to have a HQ level to gain acces to all challenes.
the 5 categories are:
1. break through encirclement

I took all this information from António Salazar , so huge shoutout to him for sharing this!
We all use air support in our missions and conquest. Today I am posting about how to use airsupport and missiles for maximum result in conquest. Note that these tips do not go sometimes for an airfield ruled by an airforce general.
1 Fighters

Then drop a paratrooper in it, and POOF you have your city. Be aware that the other countries are also city hopping and you must get their airfields neutralized as soon as possible.
