I mean, I completed my second conquest in EW4 as GB in America 1775. It was really easy and I did not use "Mercs" or the Dobeln I had. Maybe it's my familiarity with EW4 after playing for about x > 1 month. Or maybe it's got to do with IRL exp and familiarity with EasyTech games. Note: I only studided a few important threads beforehand, and glanced at others like the Generals Analysis and Conquest + Campaign guides thread. What are your thoughts?

What do you mean by experience? Do you mean experience on here or in-game?

What do you mean by experience? Do you mean experience on here or in-game? Both actually. IRL knowledge of tactics, in-game familiarity with the system resulting in sub-conscious planning being done. And reading the threads to get a sense of how the game works.

As unfortunate as it is, I've heard talk behind backs of a forum "hierarchy," and it sure seems like when you have more stars your words value more. I try myself not to look at the stars when reading someone else's guide, so I myself am not biased by forum experience when reading a post. Also, it is natural to trust someone who has more experience in any kind of game.

Define easy. Before I found this forum, I completed a conquest as Poland in 120 turns and was like, damn that was easy.

Had Döbeln only, without any upgrades or improvements whatsoever, won America 1775 with GB in under 65 turns on my second conquest & first try at 1775. I also did not use Döbeln in this conquest at all. It was not listed under No-Generals Needed section of EW4 Conquest + Campaigns thread. The section had bracketed "For Beginners" next to it. And since I'm still about 1 week old in dedicated player play time standards, I thought I ought to glance at that section.

120 turns is as far as I know, no where near the easiest princess. So yeah define easy.
Been awhile since I found this forum. Don't remember what my first conquest was like.
But more importantly define the title of this article. I'm still not sure if you mean the obvious question to me, that is does enough experience in the game hurt the guides intention- to help beginners who do not have the same experience as you.

Something like that, what you feel is "easy" may not be the same as how beginners would feel about that same method (or whatever else they need to know) because you know how to play EasyTech games, how to beat the system, etc. but beginners don't.
