I mean anyone can invade Europe, that's easy. Apparently invading Haiti isn't as simple, however, Napoleon I will get rid of that pesky island anyway. You want your land? Take it! Invading Europe is easy as long as your enemies (like Austria) keep putting 60000 men in Ulm and then not taking them out of the city when it becomes necessary I mean the Haitians kinda have three things you don't though: They're fighting to be freed from slavery, they know guerrilla warfare, and they have immunity to African diseases. I dunno know about you, but if the Civil War, Vietnam War, and the Colonization of the Americas have taught me anything, those three things are bad on their own and then all put together? You dun got a pretty damn successful slave revolt on your hands.

Quite frankly, I don't think the French would fare as well here as IRL. French successes (including Ulm and Austerlitz) were caused by incompetence of their enemies - here, we have the benefit of hindsight.

And also, apart from hindsight most of the now is available on the internet or written in books. So you technically can have a say, reverse "War of the Third Coalition" where everyone does invade France.

The time period being the the Napoleonic Wars is reminding me of the plans that were made for TW14 which I thought were quite good but were never put into motion.... I got permission from António Salazar to use this theme so don't worry.

Dude, you're the one INVADING. Sure, some people may want to crush la revolucion initially, but knowing Napoleon, some sort of invasions will occur, I know it. oh I just love the trash-talking before the game even starts! Well, there's always a plan B you know? What if I don't invade anyone and instead get invaded? You never know what your neighbors do. Plus most of the invasions were really awesome because of the way the Grandé Armée destroyed it's enemies Kaiserreich is probably going to be going for awhile, so maybe don't trash the other countries before the invasions begin.... I'm not telling you not to make a few threats here and there, but I think personally, I'd seek alliances out first.

Since we've had such great sign-ups so far, I'm thinking of splitting up Italy properly or maybe adding a few countries. Let me know what you think!

I recommend: Sardinia-Piedmont in the Northwest and Sardinia. Venetian Republic in the Northeast/Venetia. Tuscany in...well, Tuscany. The Papal States in Central Italy and Romagna. Two Sicilies in Southern Italy and Sicily. As for Lombardy, I say that either goes to Austria or Venice.

When I hosted my last RP, I had a designated map-maker. If anyone would like to volunteer to be them, I'm happy to have you. Otherwise, I'll make the maps.

I probably won't have as much time on my hands this time around. But I'll promise to make a tutorial for mapping à la Quintus Fabius sometime in the next fortnight.

If Prussia is not part of the HRE shouldn't Austria be too?

HRE mechanics would be rather awry IMO - I'm playing Austria and (presumably) HRE Emperor Francis II (namesake for Gott Erhalte Franz den Kaiser). I suppose the amount of power Prussia had inside the HRE (to exist in a state able to contest Austria, but not wanting the throne) would qualify for semi-independence.

TBH the HRE and Austria should be separate countries but under the same King. Something like Austria-Hungary.
